The fetish that i just don't get is snuff themed stuff (Eg Succubus Prison, played this outta the praise it got but it left me feeling hateful towards the characters in game so I completed it with the Escape ending only.) I just can't understand it at all.
You sir are a lucky man and I hope you both continue to have a nice life together.
Now to answer your question, I have to do it in secret where I am, it would be like asking to be the black sheep of where I live.
Now i see that I'm out numbered here but I never was any good at reading the room so here goes.
I prefer to finish outside, i don't know why but it's definitely my preference, it just clicks with me
Yes i do think it's been a bad year but that's more so because i feel we are seeing more games getting abandoned/drawn out (for both valid and non valid reasons).
However what I'm afraid of is certain types of people noticing the trend above and taking advantage of it.
This is a topic i think about a lot (Probably too much too be honest), I believe both have their merits [1] but what I think really matter's is how they implement the scenes. Too often do I see Dev's get to caught up in just making a Scene that they don't stop to consider what really makes a...
For me It's the following
1. Any game that invalidates the time and effort a player invests into it. This could be done through the ending, major mechanic removal, character assassination.
(This is the one that really pisses me off)
2. Bad End only games. Now I don't always expect a big happy...
I find that I do enjoy a slow burn game as long as it is written well but I can understand the hesitancy other players feel about such projects this isn't exactly a stable market and you can often find yourself getting well burned (pardon the pun).
The Forced Love interest troupe ("Wait what do you mean we are a couple, I don't even know who you are!") especially when a Dev thinks that no one would reject their belle of the ball.
I'm the same as the op in the sense that i can't connect with female characters because I'm not female and the disconnected as well the understanding of both action and thought processes are difficult for me to follow, but I have always been a bit socially inept so it could be that also.
As for...
I say for normal games my list is the following ( Elden ring, Dark Souls series, Fallout 3 and New Vegas, Skyrim, Mass effect 1-2-3, Nioh series and finally the Way of the Samurai series). I also wish i could have played Demon souls (Original and Remaster) but you know how exclusives are.
As...
Oh my god this a fantastic sight to return too. They’re so goofy I love it. Do they have a favourite breed that they pal around with. I know my boxer loves spaniels and poodles.
P.s (I consider 600 pound pigs tiny and cute despite being only 5’4 myself. I know I’m nuts!)
You can always substitute it for something else It just needs to be in the same shape as a sausage.
Anyway I’m always happy to discuss our incredible Animal companions no matter the species, shape or size.
Though I’m better with the following dogs, cats(50/50) birds, pigs, horse, deer (funny...
As we are talking about pets it’s always a joy for me when I see people talking about their pets and discussing their wee mannerisms and quirks.
In relation to how you get you’re dog to take their pills, my trick is to give them a cocktail sausage stuffed with the pill inside but make sure to...
If it catches my eye then sure. but sometimes it does make me feel a bit morose and forlorn when i look back and see games i enjoyed mark with the dreaded abandoned tag.
There's only been one game that was abandoned that really had an impact on me but that wasn't because the game was abandoned...
For me I'm not very fond of UB's but i can understand how it would appeal to some folks, it's just not for me.
On another note i will admit that i am jealous of how good the concepts and quality are for some of these games.
For me I prefer silhouette/faceless protagonists as i find it easier to connect with them. I find that games that do have a look for the protagonist in mind should stick to giving them a rather plain appearance (No, wacky hairstyles, massive tattoos and genital piercings). Its rare that i find a...
For me Story comes first when ever i play a game If i can't connect to the world I'm in or the game doesn't catch my curiosity/interest it all becomes so bland and tasteless. To some extent I also feel this way about characters in games as well.
To be honest I'm quite neutral on this topic, both sides have their own ups and down's but the way I see it is that if you feel that a game is more challenging than it is worth you should look into guides and save editing to balance out the difficulties that you are facing. At the end of the day...
I thinks sound design as a whole is something many games Dev's should see as a must have! In-regards to music I do think it is important but i feel that for every game that gets it right, 5 or more do lazily and half-assed.
Also i find that i constantly encounter songs that i have heard far...
