I agree to some degree, but not every game needs to be an ultra competitive shooter. Especially Hell Divers which was at first, a very casual 3rd person shooter Co-op experience. It's not like people were gaining unfair advantages against other players.
I've used Halo as an example a lot...
Hell Divers developers got sucked into believing they needed to 'balance' everything. They disliked that the game had 'metas' and it turned into a bit of a sweatfest to play. All of a sudden, your playstyle stopped mattering as much and it turned into a game where it made no difference what...
Honestly so true. They just copy and paste the gameplay loop and put it in a different environment with a completely subpar story.
Man I was so unpopular when The Division came out. All my friends loved it and I was so critical on how Insanely Similar it was to Far Cry 4, from its UI to the...
Ubisoft is utterly over. The trust they have lost in the community and their inability to deliver a game worthy of playing for even 15 minutes, is humurous. Crazy to think they made one of the absolute banger games in Farcry 2 and 3.
It literally is so bad, take the grind away and I reckon the game would go for like 30 minutes. The developer gets people into it by making small content take hours to get through
Yep, its not the only title thats fallen from grace. Assassins creed is another one. I saw a interesting VidDoc on modern AAA games and how features are being removed from games to create a more streamlined playstyle that appeals to all audiences, rather than appealing to a specific fanbase. The...
And the shambles and broken promises from Halo: Infinite, but I mean who really had any faith in that being a lasting title honestly? How many times can a studio fuck up and still keep a billion dollar IP?
I really need to try No Mans Sky, I've never actually played it. I just remember hearing the negative reviews about it on launch and I never gave it a chance
100%, I mean look what happened to CDPR as soon as they outgrew their little studio. Cyberpunk released as a mess because the investors wanted a quick pay day. That game had so much potential, especially after TW3. That game, still to this day, is the reason I will never pre-order anything...
It's crazy that not even that long ago, xbox 360 graphics on halo or mw2 getting 20-30fps was considered amazing. Now 60fps for pc gamers is like a low-end system. Hardware has most definitely surpassed what our software is capable of, especially when we consider the disparity between software...
It totally is, its in every game now. I honestly don't get what the hype is about it, it doesn't appeal to me one bit. But there must be enough people into it that devs are putting it in constantly.
