Yes. It's just a poorly made games with inserted graphics or animations from artists like Drills3D. They're a dime a dozen on steam, though the fact that they're using content that isn't theirs as a draw-in... that's some foolishly lazy and diabolical shit.
most htmls, AI, or just any game that uses real imagery in any given game.
Don't get me wrong, I love text-based when it's good, but AI and real imaging just feel like placeholders that say "I'll try to help you use your imagination kind of." It's just really off-putting.
Rarely. I have to really dislike the characters I'm allowed to be with if I ever choose the non-harem ending. Like to the point where I'm wondering why they're a choice. It HAS happened though. Maybe twice.
I've put up against a lot of irredeemable shit, just to see if the end is worth it, but when you're forced to make decisions you personally know are 100% avoidable, but your character is just THAT insufferable... yeah, that'll make me ragequit.
I also hate poly choices by authors who obviously...
Honestly anything that makes a player want to die of cringe or second-hand embarrassment. It's one of my key pet peeves when a MC is TOO stupid as a plot device.
crafting, Imbuing/Enchanting, parrying/countering/timed blocks, combos, dodging, and some immersive cinematic effects to really help those qualities pop and feel good when you do them. And let's not forget AI that actually fights back.
I always start a game over if it's still in development. Corrupted saves are too annoying to deal with, so if I remember the story, I might hold ctrl til I catch up... unless it's a game they keep rebuilding from front to back. Then Ctrl skipping isn't an option.
I don't exactly look for specifics often, but if I'm in a mood for a general "type" or genre, I like to see what's available when the mood hits (.. so like several times a week).
For regular games I just hook up my N64, PS2 and Dreamcast.
For porn, I like to delve back into games like Broken Dreamers or Mist. They give me nostalgia for things I grew up on.
Not counting the slop you'd find on Ebaums and NG back in the day, it was this Japanese VN. I really dug the art for it, but holy shiet was it depressing. It was one of those Drakengard deals where you thought the further you went, the better the ending, but nah, it just got worse and worse...
Now that I'm reading that question, I'm sitting here confused out of my mind as to what the answer should be....
VN-wise, I'd say the development of Mist and Desert Stalker.... and maybe Grandma's House kept me around the longest. Of the 3, I can't say for sure, but right now Mist is out of...
There was a werewolf game I was working on back in 2019, but obvious reasons stopped me in my tracks. I hate going back to old projects, but I'll see if I can salvage it.
