My first guess is that those two things are linked. MC does also get the swirly yellow pupils on both eyes at one point, and then there is the ex-directors letter saying Mana would become "the next in line". Strange shit all around, guess we can but wait for season2. -

Do you prefer to play games on release day or wait a while?
Tend to wait for WT modders if the game has enough stats/decisions that they have any reason to exist, else I'll mostly play ASAP. Some few devs are making their updates so short that is worthwhile to simply skip a few updates though, but that's rare for me. -

Is art style something you particularly look for in a game?
It not that I require any certain ones. More like there are a few overused old asset packs which I really can't stand. I'll usually not waste much more than 5 minutes on seeing a game use those and ,unless the writing is something that can totally hook me in, it gets the boot.- sk112211
