I've seen some games where the idea appears to be good and then I look at the previews and think... "That's totally crap, she would need a forklift to walk around..."
I think a lot of people who start developing games expect to be raking in the dough and after a while when reality hits they start to loose interest.
For those that succeed to make enough money, probably no longer having new ideas to continue the game.
Most renpy games can be decompiled and then you could switch it on again
I have somewhere a piece of renpy code (if I can still find it) that you can just drop the game folder and it makes the textbox transparent.
In game music turned down to a quarter and the rest of the game audio on maximum and then on the hardware level I set the volume so I can just hear the music.
