Why don't you financially support devs you really like?
I did for a long time. At any given time, I was supporting 5 - 10 games. I would sub until about 50 to 60 dollars total and swap games. After a while devs would ghost or my taste changed. I stopped most after my guy down under was denied freedom because of illustrations.- Cobra

I feel the same way. I would say the character reactions are less believable than the characters themselves but am chocking up to the supernatural.
