The 4 months was too long but I don't really see an issue with paid versions being ahead. It's not as if it was really advertised that much. I doubt a lot of people even really knew (or maybe not?) I think it works as a nice incentive to encourage support and also makes it a bit more worth it... -

The new Meryon day added in 1.7 is only available on the solo route for Meryon. It is not available on the duo route. But the day does end up getting remade and expanded slightly in 1.9 (or 1.8, i forgot) to be available on both routes (Meryon and Duo) as it was making things a bit too complicated. -
