Its a wide sweeping law they passed by saying its all about stopping real porn with real names/faces yet everything is fucking blocked. Of course those videos will still get uploaded/spread around another GOVT just doing mass censorship instead of just dealing with the issue directly.

Sounds more like NORTH Korea than South. Though SK was a dictatorship until the 80s...

I mean, blocking illegal content seems fair. I don't see a problem with the governments stopping people from accessing illegal material, that's part of their job. We should have the self-insight to know that people try to stop what we are doing, when we are doing illegal things. This is clearly not some sort of dystopic survailance system, it is a blocking of access. Totally fair and justified. Had they been trying to block legal pornography, then I'd see an issue with it.

This also seems to target hosts and aggregators, and not downloaders and visitors, which again, seems more fair than most systems.

Sadly this is south just another country that is joining many others.

Yes to a point its a broad statement so your XXX site needs stuff like only fans to not be blocked yet at the same jest all game sites like this went poof.

I agree real rape vids block those but also how about you just focus on that not a broad law.

But this site is illegal too, so what moral grounds are there to let it stay off the list from the governments perspective? I'm on here because of my own selfishness. I don't want to pay for a majority of these games, as I don't see most being worth it. It's still piracy at the end of the day, so the crime has been commited.

By your logic we should not be allowed anywhere on the internet due to the copyright law being in place were if you are in ownership/viewing something that was at one point a paid product and you did not pay for it and or was not created by you it is against the law.

70% of the internet hell every fucking gif is a copyright protection case.

Ban real rape shit real child porn but when you start banning stuff hosting illegal adult content that is like 90% of the fucking adult sites out there.

Holy shit, you're deliberatly misinterpreting what i wrote to a comedic degree. Want to have a real discussion on it, or am i your unjust opponent, who needs to be beaten down?

1. Gifs fall well within fair use. That point is basically non-debatable.

2. You are deliberatly looking to illegaly obtain pirated content on this site. In what way is that the same as posting a 2 second gif from a movie on facebook?

3. If you didn't know, then I can assure you that most governments actively fight child pornography and rape videos, though proving a video is rape content, and not acting, is legally difficult. Same goes for proving that someone is 18+ without using their government IDs, which is why pornhub and lots of other sites require ID to post.

3. I have in the past and well still upload 2 those sites never needed a ID

2. Guess you never tried to monetize on youtube before that fair use is only in some countries and even then you can get a entire video pulled down for 2 secs with ease. I gave up on youtube after years of making money due to the legal horseshit i had to deal with.

Also that hole "pitied content" is again a cover flag when many companies no longer exist you are acting like all the assholes shutting down anime/streaming sites in general because they got shit decades old that some fucker own the ip too but will never give a legal way of watching them.

As far as LC there are many games on here that no longer have a storfront creators that left there game due to be in jail and or again lost legal ways to get paid and there is the DLsite crackdown that forced many game to not be available like before. So again by legal definition its copyrighted content but there is no legal way to obtain said content.

Considering there are multiple ways to get around it

I don't think it will make much difference

Youtube isn't the government, and the reason that creators suffer under copyright on youtube is purely because of the copyright holders and youtube, not the laws. Youtube takes down content to avoid being sued for hosting the content, which the copyright holders abuse. But again, Youtube has fuck all to do with the South Korean government.

And again, you are twisting my words to unbearable degrees. Abandonware and edge cases are one thing, but this site hosts pirated content that is still actively distributed, you really cant refute that. Same goes with other piracy sites. I'm not talking morals or fairness, I'm talking laws. Also, even though a storefront is down, you legally cant download its content on third party sites.

Lastly, you are not some superior entity who deserves legal access to everything. If something is unavailable in your country, then I guess that sucks. What a tear jerker that you cant jerk off to that one porn game, but it still doesn't change the law. I'm not arguing that piracy is immoral, I'm arguing that it's illegal. And the government exists so that laws are upheld. If you want copyright law to change, or piracy of abandoned media to be legal, then start a petition, lobby the government, hell you can even move to Iraq or somewhere else where they don't give a single fuck about it.

First they came for the Koreans
And I did not speak out.
Because I was not a Korean

First they came for the thieves, but I... Wait I am stealing... Huh... Guess this analogy only works when you're in the right.

Piracy isn't stealing and never was. A CD/DVD/whatever doesn't disappear off the shelf when you download something. I'd be in favor of getting rid of the concept of intellectual property altogether.

I agree that it isn't stealing. It was an exageration meant to show the legal similarities, not the moral ones. I fully agree, and most studies have found piracy to have no negative effect on sales of LARGE corporations.

I'm against removing intellectual property, as that would ruin some industries, i.e. medicinal research, but I am hugely in favor of changing the laws to favor smaller creators and businesses.

Removing IPs would just make IKEA print 100.000 copies of whatever painting is trending, removing the source of income for the artist. However this is just an example. I'm not trying to convince you, I'm stating my opinion, and i fully respect yours, even if I disagree.

Sounds so fucking american you probably never experienced stuff outside your bubble

In the real world even basic tv shows are region locked it has nothing to due with porn its all about monopolization weaponizing the law and region locking. I finished watching the pit few months back illegally due to that show only being on HBO max only streamed in the USA.

So please do not kill me with a missile strike due to me not being a holy USA bread elite but i can not watch over half the shit out there due to region locking.

I'm not American, moron. A lot of things are also region locked to the point of inaccessability where i live. And guess what? I've also pirated shit, so I'm not any more innocent than you are. However my reading comprehension passed 3rd grade, so i can read this sentence: "I'm not arguing that piracy is immoral, I'm arguing that it's illegal." But I guess laws don't apply in "the real world".

You wrote a nice sob story and assumed me as an American, which I am in fact not. You should also have been able to tell from my writing style and the kinda wonky sentence structure that English isn't even my first language.

isn't porn illegal in SK to begin with? a move like this is hardly surprising from a country that's already so repressive. if people want change simply take over the government, just watch out for the fire extinguishers

This artist's artwork modules are excellent, but the plot connections are sometimes too disjointed, making it difficult to get immersed. I often find myself losing track of what's happening while watching... 🤣

The functional problem with setups like this is that it isn't clear how a site gets on or off the list. Cloudflare seems to be saying that a Korean Executive agency requested the block, so how would an affected site appeal that? What is the standard of proof to be blocked? If they file a court case that the site is informed of and can defend themselves in that is somewhat harder to abuse.

Cloudflare working against its own customers is interesting, in a way for international customers it could be helpful for them to avoid a full court case by just accepting being blocked in SK, assuming that's how it works. Or they could use a different content distributor.
