I already disliked the limitations on map view. This looks like it's going to limit it even further. If they include a direction finder/radar style mini-map with discovery illumination option that would be a real game changer. Otherwise, it looks claustrophobic to me.

this will definitely make RPGM games alot more interesting to explore. so many games overworlds look so similar

This is a teaser but the overhead part indoors looks like flexibility is a thing but we will see.

I regrettably can't stand the "walking simulator" parts of RPGM. As long as that is still part of the engine; any upgrtade is comparable to putting lipstick on a pig.

You can change that by going into the settings to activate sprint and or hold your shift key.

As someone who has created and played many free games since the engine was released, I have to say that update is encouraging.

Nope just created a few old games on a site that is now defunct and a lot of games are now gone.

I was inspired by older final fantasy games at one point in time, and the Suikoden games.

Made a few other unreleased games as well.

I didn't expect to hear anything about Suikoden. It's like when people talk about RPGs and mention Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, but then someone in the background says “Golden Sun.”

To bad the scene that was once a freeware hobby has shifted more into paid games.

Though it has to said at one point developer's were not allowed to sell our games.

There are things I can and cannot agree with. In my opinion, a developer should be able to make money from their creations, although I’m more in favor of donations than purchases because, with indie and casual developers, there’s no guarantee I’ll get a quality product—or even a finished one. I’m talking about games and fan games here, not mods or hackroms.

I still use wayback machine on old story boards i was just on a dump site for games man people over 20 years old have seen alot of the internet that is no longer around at all. I was just using a app that changed into AI said AI killed 80% of the app just poof.

This game site top is dead second is having database access issues no doubt going 2 be gone soon

Steam has a shit ton of trash on it same with the Nintendo Eshop from early access titles or those $1 games.
