No it stopped working, now it seems like the site is completely down.Tried that, didnt work
yeah that workaround worked for about 2 weeks, as of right now it looks like everyone cant connect.Tried that, didnt work
I was told to remove those host lines when Rori does come back up.I'm also in roriwalrus. Is the plan to fix the dns before reactivation? Or should we keep the line in hosts?
I'm guessing you have some connections with mods from rori, were you given any guesses of how long it will take for it to be back up?I was told to remove those host lines when Rori does come back up.

The workaround many of you were using has stopped working, as the IP address people were using belonged to a Cloudflare endpoint.
Cloudflare requires its customers to hold the Domain, so when it was suspended, it was a matter of time before Cloudflare would disconnect the IP we were using from the Rori server.
This was something we knew would happen in advance and expected to happen several days before it did; the solution was only a temporary one from the start.
As for those complaining about a lack of communication:
As several others have already pointed out, Rori is not some large company with a dedicated team of 24/7 support staff; the only one capable of fixing the current issues is JoJo, who has been extremely busy recently.
I'm not going to give you any specifics about their personal life beyond that.
I will also say that I'd much rather this takes a little longer to resolve than that JoJo forces himself to fix it and burns himself out potentially leading to him shutting the site down entirely, or alternatively, that he rushes it, resulting in potential security weaknesses that could be exploited, which would just increase the likelihood of a similar (or worse) issues in the future.
JoJo handles all the hosting and pays for it all, so please be thankful for that fact and have some patience while he does what he can.
All I can say right now is that I have spoken with them since the issues started, and that JoJo is aware of the issue.
They will do what they can to fix the issue whenever they are able to do so, but I don't know when that will be finished.
Alternatively, please consider creating your own sites.
I'm sure the lolisho community could do with more of them, be it for additional variety in what the sites focus on (art, games, discussion, debate, etc.) or redundancy for when others shut down.
Sites like these are generally entirely reliant on their owners being able to maintain them out of pocket, which is a tasks with a high financial cost, many hurdles and not a lot of support, so the more of them we have, the more we can help spread the load and ensure there are alternatives when one shuts down, like FallenHaven recently did and ATF plans to.
Rori was created as a site with a much narrower focus on connecting artists and their fans, and does not allow all the things a broader site like ATF does, so for many users, it will not be a proper replacement, and I hope those users are able to find or create a better alternative for themselves.
I'm also a member and would be happy to see them resurrected.I managed to visit RORI for several days.
