VN Ren'Py [HS2] God among Kings [v0.27] [SolidDoc]

Notice
Updated due to the game being leak elsewhere.
I like the premise of the Game. The Combat is something you have to actively play and not some Auto Resolve.

The Main Con for me would be the Interface/UI. At times its hard to find what you are looking for (Upgrade the Heros/Units).
Still will finish the game, keep it up :)

I'd say so too, i am a backend dev, making the UI/UX is something that i don't particularly enjoy and it shows

Is it kind of like Renryuu?

All jokes aside this game is really good dude. I like the character models, they are cute and attractive.
Is there any plan for adding animations in future? If this gets animations it will surely increase the interest in this game.

I have tried working on animations but unfortunately had to give up on the idea. The basic ones in hs are just that, basic, i don't feel like the add to anything but the game size. Setting up something custom takes me way too much time (working on it in my free time, which is limited). Besides, everything in the game could use some improvement

incest patch with this one ?

very good game I liked very much waiting for more updates. Thank you for the good work😁

I really really love fantasy kingdom making harem game thank you so much for this game really love it 💗

No pregnancy tag? The empire will collapse without a future heir(s). Shameful display, mi lord

Turn based combat why
Because i like turn based combat
There is a God mode option to make the combat trivial, if you want to focus on the story content

not a good game too much fighting and not a fun fighting to short story

I like the combat, reminds me of Fire Emblem but I think it works pretty well for attacks to always do some damage. I liked the town level where you could do the high risk/high reward thing of going after the general instead of conservatively winning by points, at least for me it came down to the wire and was fun to work though. The rest of the levels seemed easy although that may have just been because I did an extra bandit level to get everyone to level 3 for the town one. Maybe you could keep the main campaign basically the same difficulty but add some side levels for extra content that are a bit tougher.

I'd suggest is to make it so crits and glancing blows always modify damage by at least one (still with minimum one); as it is if your characters do 1 or 2 damage then crits and glancing blows don't do anything, which is especially rough with Sherry and Eleanor since their whole thing is doing more attacks for lower damage per attack. As a QoL it would also be nice if the turn ended once all characters have moved, and if we got a preview of damage/hit/crit on hover over target for what we'd attack we're going to use.

Tank characters are kind of one-note, they're big balls of health but they aren't really threatening so you just leave them for last and then are spending the last few turns plinking at them until they die. I think they could be made more interesting by having them take more damage but give them a noticeable ability, like retaliating if you hit one of their allies while standing next to them.

Also more Phoebe/Kreios threesomes. It's too bad Phoebe canonically is into petite girls, I want to see her dom Heimdall.

About the misses always doing damage, i hate when game punish you for the rng. The decrease instead of outright miss does the trick for me

When it comes to difficulty, i am failing the game a bit. I have wanted it to be challenging enough, but i have little time when it comes to actual playtesting. And players are each playing differently. In a game where positioning and approach to the enemy is important, being rash can easily result in a defeat and as such, many people are complaining about the game being too hard, while some think it's too easy. I guess being rewarded for playing the scenario smart is not a bad place to start, but the balancing could still use some work

I agree about crits/glances doing something for low numbers, that is something i noticed myself. I'll probably add it to the next version

Tanks will have their place, i do not want to make them too damaging, because their role is more of a supportive one, but they need more tools to be useful. I found the last upgrade for the Golden Warriors to be quite useful (taunt) for shielding other units, who can't take a beating

Phoebe is gonna play a big role in the game, so you can expect to see more stuff with them. And she did say something about big titty mommy during the temple visit

I end up putting out the Golden units last so mine are level 2, I was thinking more about enemy tanks. Not sure how I'd feel about the enemy ones having a taunt, not having control over your characters always kind of sucks.

As the current content ends, a coucil system opened up that allows unit training. That should help training up the less used units. And i have more ideas on how to utilize the troops more in the future
As for the enemies. Most of them don't pose a significant threat right now, to be honest. I am planning to add some spice to them soon

thank you. I love it
