welcome! i am from atf too. take what i say with a bit of salt because i am also in same process but i say dont look at your activity score too close, it makes it worse. instead just talk like you normally would, that way you get points very quick without even noticing. even saying funny things or something someone likes will give you a point. i think main thread explaining points system is not up to date for the amount of points you get though
Guess I'll look for interesting threads then, forum diving it is.

Damn... You got busy while I was away.
Missed so much .
And WTF ATF is shutting down oO
yeah it is sad. i fully understand/support the decision though, it came moer out of necessity than out of willingness, at least from the tone of the post. all good things come to an end unfortunately :( this could be a new beginning for many of us though, new people, new places, exciting

edit: also thank you @Yoriko for liking all the posts, you are very kind. it is actively helping me get up in activity points ahaha.

For sure but it is always best to have many places.

can't take us all down! i agree. it is why i also am fan of other such decentralized things like matrix chat for messaging, it is super cool idea which im sad has not seen more widespread adoption.

yeah and i love how the site owner stood his ground and just decided to shut down the site FOR us, absolute W

Unfortunately, with refined tastes comes a scarcity of restaurants, especially with the current culture and rise of kneejerk moralizing.
as sad as it is, i agree. people enjoy getting on a moral high ground. it is okay though, with enough search and luck you always find people with similar interests

Another big issue was people just not following the rules, and him having to deal with it over and over id be drained too

I used to use a decentralized social network, until I saw something that traumatized me… I never went back, I prefer more centralized sites. There are a lot of criminals in those places.

that is also true, it is a double edged sword. wish there was a better way, my trust in huge companies is gone sadly. you are right though these decentralized social media are also scary

Yeah, that's why I didn't want to have to find a new place, I liked how strict ATF is about things like that.

Ngl, I'm going through the five stages of grief as we speak. (Currently stuck between denial and bargaining) I've been part of ATF since 2018, and it's killing me to know that it's more than likely gone for good in the next few months. Atm, my mood could be best summed up with a lyric from Acid Bath and SpongeBob respectfully: "Everything's gone dry." (From The Bones of Baby Dolls) and "I've got bad news, guys! Look at what happened to my house! It's gone! It's all gone. What am I going to do? Where am I going to live?" (From Home Sweet Pineapple)
