The real question isn't whether I'm leaving Discord, but if or where the communities I follow will. A few I'm in are already looking for alternatives. I don't use Discord for porn, either, but requiring something worldwide that's only a law in a couple of countries is too far. I am not trusting a company that just had a data breach, losing 70k users' information, with my government ID or my biometrics. And you're insane if you will.

I never said you did i am just saying that is how this works just look at UK for the steps your idea is not available which is stupid but even having a landline today is a scandal.

It has little to no impact on me. I use it solely to follow developers and stay updated on their latest developments, which also gives me a channel to occasionally report bugs

Due to the complete uselessness, I do not use Discord. I installed it three or four years ago, registered, but quickly realized that I had nothing to do there. After that, I deleted it as unnecessary.

I disliked the whole non-private thing of discord since the beginning, everybody knows who you are, even if you change your server specific nickname. It's kinda funny how only now everybody acts so shocked that privacy is in danger.

Didn't they announce that they going to do this a couple of months ago?
This will probably only cause people to not declare their servers as NSFW.
Which is pretty much the opposite of "protecting minors".
Also, I assume this is to not get banned in countries that require a proper age-check, like the UK.

Almost 10 days ago and i put the info up on post one so users know what the subject is and the have the information available.

Nooo, Discord is basically the backbone of the Pokémon community. It’s where most ROM hack download links are shared and organized. There are even Doom modding communities on there too.

It's definitely not worth it. At this point the one for here is the only one I use and imagine if this goes through it will switch somewhere else - as will most of the ones for adult games.

On other sites that offer me something that is important to me or seems important, yes, definitely,
I don't support any nonsense that someone comes up with just because they demand me to do so.
I am my own master and owe nothing to anyone.
And certainly not my private data or information about me.
The situation is different for government agencies and institutions, of course, but who can claim to be truly free?
