discussion How do you remember what's been happening in between updates?

For me, if the plot is only so-so, I go on straight ahead and try to recall as best I can.
If its a game with pretty good plot though, then I don't mind replaying it, maybe skipping over some parts that drag

I mostly play finished games. Some of them are quite long and depending on my mood I can stretch out the playthrough for a week or more. I don't remember anything specifically, but when I continue playing it pops up in my memory.

I just hope updates are not to far apart. For a lot of games I don't care about the story so it doesn't matter and the games I do care I usually just remember not 100% but enough that i can piece an missing parts together.

i'd say i'm pretty good at recalling overall info/plot/story/memories, not so much on detailed info/part even characters names tho. but it's fine for me as when continuing playing it, some recall is enough for me to fill the gaps and get the game going. also helping that most adult/porn/ero games tend to have simple enough stories and plots, but there's still some game that i replaying it again either because of not so simple stories or just because it is good and fun game

I can't remember anything between updates at all. I try to wait for completed versions. Otherwise, I usually just move on to the next game.

I am fortunate enough to have to many games which means that unfortunately I rarely remember my progress in so I end up starting over most of the time.

i'm sick of games that only update once a year or that are abandoned, so i just wait for the complete tag

I just replay the game. Most have skip features anyway

I often keep saves of scenes I like and want to return to, so often I'll look at those. From that I can roughly piece together when the sequence so far was.

I load a save a bit of the ways back and start from there, most the time that is enough to jog my memories.

Same. A lot of the translations are painful enough that I don't feel like giving myself an aneurism trying to read it anyway

If its a game I'm invested in and the updates aren't too far apart, I mostly rmber but if not, I normally just save at the last choice of the previous update and go from there
