🏦 Banking System Overhaul

We have completely revamped the banking system to ensure a stable economy while rewarding active users. The new system prevents "infinite money" hoarding while giving everyone fair access to interest earnings.

📊 1. Dynamic Banking Caps
The bank now has a limit on how much you can deposit to earn interest. This cap is not the same for everyone it grows with your activity!

Your Personal Cap is calculated as:
Base Limit + (Your Post Count × Per-Post Bonus)

Rank Multipliers:
Higher ranks (e.g., Donator, Prestige) now receive a Multiplier on their total cap (e.g., 2x, 3x capacity), allowing them to save more. (Currently Disabled)

⚖️ 2. The Dual Balance System
Your bank account is now split into two separate balances:
  • 💰 Principal Balance: This is the money you deposit. This balance EARNS interest.
  • 📈 Interest Balance: This is where your interest payouts go. This balance DOES NOT earn interest.
Why? This prevents compound interest from spiraling out of control. You earn interest only on your active deposit, not on free money you've already earned.

💸 3. Deposits & Withdrawals
Depositing:
  • You can only deposit into your Principal Balance.
  • You cannot deposit more than your current Cap. The system will automatically stop you from over-filling your bank.

Withdrawing:
When withdrawing, you can now choose which balance to take from:
  • From Interest Balance: Safe! You can withdraw your earnings at any time WITHOUT resetting your interest timer.
  • From Principal Balance: Warning! Withdrawing your main deposit WILL reset your interest timer (you will lose progress toward your next payout).

These changes are effective immediately. Check the Bank page to see your new dynamic cap!

Still being worked on - Shawn

Any chance of a "bank vault" without interests to store your coins, so you don't need to carry them in your wallet?

its still a work in progress lol

just showing the "vault" option was added lol

So please tell me putting money in the vault doesn't reset the interest day aswell...

yes but it is covered under the bank cap, so we cant put anything in it if we have the bank full. Kinda defeats the purpose

So 25,600 is the max it seems for me guess I'll need that vault to deposit the other four million.

Halted.
I was already wondering why I didn't get interest. Even used the calculator to check my meth math.

Seems so interesting the new system

So I am a little confused. If I earn interest, the interest cannot be put in to earn more? Or it can, but has to be done manually? IF that is the case, how would this work:

I have 1000 coins in the bank. I pull out 20 in interest at 2pm which is when my 24 hours ended. I add my 20 into the 1000 at 5pm (lets just say I forgot).
Tomorrow, do I gain interest on 1000 or 1020 coins?
Also, what time would my interest be collectable at, 2pm (24 hours from my last withdrawl) or 5pm (24 hours from the last time I put more into the bank)?

Something odd happened when posting this. When I clicked submit, a very very very quick little dialog/error popped up in the top right, but I barely noticed it. It also didnt seem to post the response. So I clicked it again and this time I noticed it a little more. So instead of re-submitting I refreshed and saw my post down here twice. I get that errors like this happen sometimes, but the issue is that the error or whatever it was on the top right flashed by so fast it was almost impossible to notice if you werent looking for it. It might have been useful for me to see it and know not to try submit again if I had been able to read it.

Edit: It is still happening. When I try to submit this edit, it looks like nothing happens, but I can see the flash at the top. Although this time I can see it does not look like an error or text, but some sort of waiting/processing orange graphic.

You'll gain interest on the 1020, you're limited by how much you can add to the bank, you should see the amount you're limited to somewhere on the bank page.

Also it'd be collectable from 5pm, 24 hours after last action with the bank.

Whenever you deposit or withdraw AC from the bank it resets the time till next interest collection.

Deposits and withdrawals to vault don't reset timer and also aren't limited by the amount you can deposit, but don't gain interest on the vault.

I see. Thanks for the reply. The reason I asked is that I collected interest, and then a few hours later found this thread. Thats when I noticed that the collected interest does NOT go back into the bank (like the guide I read a few days ago said). By then it was 3 hours later and I didnt want to reset the timer.

I kinda feel like adding a small amount like that should not reset the timer. I almost understand not auto applying it to the bank for the compounding thing... but this is just adding in more useless clicks and making it slightly more annoying. You dont stop people from putting it in there, you just add hassle to it.

New question while thinking about this. If I collect my interest 1 minute later, does that mean the next day it will be available one minute later than before? If so, that also feels kinda like un-needed hassle on top for no real reason. I feel like when X time hits, the interest should become available from that point on. If you login and click it, it should just happen without resetting the timer. If you dont collect in 24 hours, it gets lost and overwritten with the next days interest. That would keep it from building up without having to reset the timer.

The reason I am asking is I suck at shit liek this (daily quests). I play Eve Online, and have shit I have to do daily, so I set up an Alexa routine. Which is fine if I do it on time (I set it 10 mins ahead of time so I am early). The problem with this is that it takes 30+s to collect my daily stuff and if something puts me off a few minutes past that, I end up having to delete and recreate my routine every few days to push the time back.

Actually, I feel like the best way to handle the bank is just to have the entire bank run on a single time. Say midnight wherever the server is (or even the owners timezone). Then just have it so that you have to put the money in 12 hours before midnight or it wont count for the day. This reduces the need for everyone to have a saved time. Then, as long as they check in sometime during that day and collect interest, they get it. If not, they lose it at midnight as it gets replaced by the next days interest.

My money is in my wallet, not in the bank where I put it this morning at 12:16am (According to the bank and interest timer.)
When I did deposit it, it wouldn't take it all, either. Refused the last 6 AC.

I just made a deposit into the bank. The coins are gone from my inventory, but the bank still says 0.

Yesterday I received interest. Today my account was emptied and the interest gone. I just filled it again, but I lost one day interest + that I don't receive interest today.
