both, but mainly 3d, the 3d art even tho generic sometimes tends to have more quality and the realistic feeling i search, but for 2d the artist has to be very good for it to hook me

ngl if all games were 2d I'd probably prefer it but some 3d models do look soooo good, although a average 3d game looks kinda meh compared to a average 2d game

well it's sort of hard to compare, even average 2d can be appealing. However average 3d just looks bad and super high quality looks amazing. So really it's just about quality.

Yeah I feel this. 2D can be good even if the artwork is mid, but some of those mid tier and lower quality models in 3D games just makes it unappealing. I think 3D has a higher ceiling when it comes to quality, but also a much, much higher quality floor as well.

I like both ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Both are great but I think 3d is a little better especially when done well

I've seen just as much bad 3d as 2d. Both can be good. As always, the artist makes the difference

2D and very more specifically I prefer pixel art above all. There is something about the retro aesthetic that is just timeless. there is DEFINITELY good 3d artists and models though. If you guys want to see some awesome 3d, There's this one Artist that did an amazing makoto nanaya video on twitter that is fully voiced and another that did an absolutely amazing Squirrel Girl with Juno breast sucking animation that very nearly got me to switch my preference. (I dont know if im allowed to say the artists cause that might come across as advertising).

what does everyone prefer 2d or 3d?
Personally 3d just cause overall better quality than 2d, but if the art is done well 2d can be miles better. Tbh im surprised im not sick of the koikatsu art style yet

So far, I prefer 2d, since there seems to be a higher baseline of quality. There are plenty that look like trash, but I like doujins, so I like the art style. 3d when done well is incredible, but the uncanny valley is a steep one to get out of sometimes...

Both are good but great 2D just hits different for me. 3D has to be REALLY good for it to hit the levels of great 2D for me.
