Hmm, we will think about it, I agree with "new" prefix being pointless.I'm not sure I understand the "new" tag on the Latest Content page, because if the page is named "latest", shouldn't that be ordered as newest at the top? Leaving the "new" tag uses up the engine tag and doesn't add any information to the user.
I am a fan of having the first tag be the engine, and maybe limit the shown tags shown on the visible row while viewing the Latest Content page to be "engine", "plus" and maybe "VN" or the art engine, or some other descriptor, and leave all the regular tags for the rollover view, and sort the rollover view alphabetically to allow knowing where each tag should be, rather than missing one when doing a quick scan, such as "sandbox" etc.
The current filtering mechanics also have an issue when the first tag is not the engine, as can be seen when looking at the Latest Content page with "any" engine selected vs "renpy" for example, as the game Olive Chat, which is renpy, but the first tag is "plus", and when sorting for renpy game engines, Olive Chat doesn't show up in that sort, and it looks like the engine sort, and maybe others, only hits off the main row of tags on the non-rollover display?
Edit: Ok, I told Apollo to remove "new" prefix, move "Plus" prefix to the upper corner (either left or right) and instead in this place put all prefixes game has (status, engine, art style). I think this is the best choice.
