my take on what happened

Will I have to become active to stay M+? Unfortunately conversation is the only thing I can offer.

Without spending too long trying to find all of them, some of them are:

https://lewdcorner.com/members/user_61141.61141/
https://lewdcorner.com/members/user_133943.133943/
https://lewdcorner.com/members/user_133583.133583
https://lewdcorner.com/members/user_141169.141169/

All accounts are fully intact just the profile name is changed, none of their post history, likes, etc have been deleted, and any post that quoted them shows their original names still. Even if all of those accounts have just changed their name to be haha funny, the Messages quoting them should not display their old names anymore and should reflect the new names in either situation

But, I'd imagine if someone deletes their account anywhere, they would expect all instances of it and anything it ever did to be fully removed from a site if they were really supposed to be deleted
As they say once it's on the internet it's forever. Even deleting your account or getting it permabanned on F95 will NOT remove every trace of it. Things like likes, reviews, posts (unless manually deleted by a mod individually, most are not going to bother removing thousands of posts one at a time from an older dead account), etc remain even when the account doesn't. Pretty much every forum does this so it's nothing new, most are not some data-mining scam site like Facebook or something.

ps. someone suggested a way for mega threads to halt, and thats using Archive Threads addon from xenforo, this will basically make all threads in a specific category archive once that length date hits, i will be testing this on a server that is not lewdcorner.
Just a question out of curiosity here. You mention "mega threads"; I'm not familiar with that term, so forgive my ignorance. Is that when a thread length gets really huge or something? (Obviously I know OPs wouldn't get archived, so this very well might have nothing at all to do with what a "mega thread" is.) If I currently have a post like this one where I update as releases happen, will that get archived at some point? I'd like to keep updating the same post rather than reposting and feeling almost like spamming or something.

If you are here for Games+, you only need Members+, which costs 250 AC, not Elite.
-> https://lewdcorner.com/dbtech-shop/members.15/
well it removes the 160 seconds i have to wait before reacting to the next message too
& those likes could help out another noob like me

maybe i'll buy the m+ & if i make it to the next level before things change i'll be happy

most forums can manually delete 50 posts at a time
but yes, your info is not only on this server, its also on hundreds of other servers thats why its called the world wide web

yes it is the size of the thread which makes it a mega thread

Shit I barely have 500.000 coins and I spent double that amount on the ranks.

Took me months to even get 100,000, It amazes me that a few members have billions.

Anyway look forward to seeing what will change in the future, Just don't break the site.
Not difficult if they spend $ for a rather large seed (eg $1000) and let the 2% snowball for 2 years (or however long the coin system has been here). And instead of spend most of their savings asap they just wait until ranks aren't even 10% of their total savings so barely a dent they won't recoup in less than a week.

Mother of all tangeants. Pretty much avoid unless Heisenberg or love wordy tangential posts.
What is it… exactly… ya (want to) do here?

Example:
When I made my home made hybrid 3rd Edition point buy D&D based on IP I don’t own (so I can’t talk about), I told them this:
There is a separation between player and character. My DM-ing will go like this:
“Roll to see if your character spots the poison in his soup.” Game > Roleplay.

Some stayed. Some left. Some joined. It stayed pretty much even.
But my game is a ROLL playing game first and ROLE playing game second.

Clear, but not for everyone.

Now, to LC.

What is your goal for your members to do?
Some will talk no matter what.
Some will lurk no matter what.
Some will follow your rules to get the carrot (i.e. access, etc…) then either stop or future proof (ex: bank). That’s me, btw.

I did math, so I used the bank. As per another post, it cost me the same time as watching 1/3 of a Tic Toc video per day. That's it. I'm not top, but I'm not hurting for LC either.
You said get X points for a profile picture, 1 thread (back in the day), comments, etc.
I did those things. Not because I wanted to, but because I wanted the carrot at the end.

The people who weren’t posting, making profile pictures, etc., BEFORE, well, after the rules hit, they pretty much did it for the carrot.
So, you gotta know that, right? Some (many? Most?) people that will follow your new rules just want the carrot.
At the risk of sounding like Morden (props if you get the reference)…

…What do you want?…
What do you want Lewdcorner to be? And second, is that realistic and feasible?
Anyhow, I’ll be here, doing what you want me to do, to get my next carrot.
No mean intent, but no nice intent either. These last 2 years have been something.

Extra “hmm” for those pissed that I clicked on a button every day for 2 years and have lotsa coin in the bank.
… as the rules and math not only allowed... but encouraged... but somehow, I'm exploiting the system. Ok. Fine. I'm an exploiter... for... following rules.
I also save scum on games so... those people are right... but I'm NOT gonna change.

If the new rules are: Get X coins for posting 4 bunny videos a month, guess what? I won't post 7 videos.
I won't post 6 videos.
I won't post 5 videos.
I'll post 4. That makes me an exploiter? I'll agree with those people. I'm an exploiter. Now what?

(The last part in white isn't towards Heisenberg but towards those that freak out at someone clicking on a button once per day)
Anyways, I'm off to play my heavily modded Steam and AVN games now.
Peace out for now.

bank pays 0.3% (correct me if i am wrong)
but isnt that 33.3333% of one coin per 100 coins per day ?

Correct. MATH SAYS (I'm tired, I could be off) =
With 0.3%, if you had 100 coins, and all you did was click the bank every day, at the end of one year, you would almost triple it (298).
With 2%, (which is what I had), after 1 year, 100 coins would give you over 1000 coins (1,337 to be precise, that's not a joke, it's just what math fucked me over with for this post).

In summary, it's used to add a 0 a year. Now it triples a year. Now, imagine you have much more than 100 coins of posts (and reactions btw) over a year. Adds up.
NOTE = For me, reactions > posts. YMMV.
Someone PLEASE correct my math if I'm off. Tired atm.

no worries, those with 260,000,000 are still happy.

no one wants to spend 3 years making 3,000 coins :) (unless you live here)
no one seems to be reacting to my posts so i make coins only on posts

thanks for the update, and it´s only me or the effect of the snowdrops are more slow when write a comment?

the bank will be worked on.

I bought the mvp+, legend, elite or whatever the rank is a day before the site maintenance with my 100k old activity coins that I save since last year. And now I'm back with just a member title and 500 activity coins?. What the hell man? Really not cool. At least if you want to remove my coins, keep the titles. Really disappointed.

It used to be 2%. All lowering it to 0.3% does is slow it down ~7x. Still just a waiting game and it still snowballs eventually. Plus alot of people got grandfathered in if they were here since the early days so are sitting on millions (or billions) of coins that they don't really need, since they already have permanent P4 and P5 access with nothing else really useful to buy (and I guess permanent doesn't exist anymore). Sucks for the latecomers I guess, but current setup was probably an attempt to piss the least amount of people off while encouraging more monthly donations (which permanent anything was a bad idea in the long run, relatively huge influx of cash for a month or 2 then mostly nothing, leaving the owner to pay for most of it himself after it dried up in 6-12 months).

I'm far too poor to give you money, but I'm glad to see the website's back up and running.

as for the post bot, this is happening like it or not, (i never said i hated sites that scrape lewdcorner) if someone intepreted that then they are fucking stupid and only trying to bad mouth what i actually said, what i said was i hate that people from a different site are coming back to LC and advertising said site, which is grabbing games from lc to there, making lc pointless, you can't stop bots, there is no point to stop it, the bot is most likely written in pytnon and python is adaptable to bypass basically most forms of anti-bots flags, again i spoke to the owner of known site, i have no issues with him, i told that to him and the feelings i am pretty sure are mutual.
