Hey everyone, Apollo here.

So… the last two days were a ride, huh?
LewdCorner decided to take an unscheduled vacation and left all of us staring at annoying error pages.

Good news though — the site is finally back online.
Heisenberg and I tag-teamed the whole mess, wrestled it into submission, and got LewdCorner breathing again. No heroics, no chest-thumping — just two devs cleaning up a digital crime scene.

Now, small disclaimer:
You’ll probably notice a few things still missing or looking weird. Thread icons, some visuals, a few loose screws here and there — all of that is already on our fix list. We’ll be patching the broken bits one by one.

But enough about the outage.
Let’s talk about the actually exciting stuff.

🚀 What’s Coming Next

🔧 Automatic Post Bot
We’re building a bot that will fetch new games from trusted sources and drop fully formatted posts straight into LewdCorner. No delays, no manual grind — just automatic fresh content on tap.

🖥️ LewdCorner Launcher
Yup, the launcher is finally entering active development again. Cleaner design, faster updates, smoother experience. You’ll get your games and updates without ever touching the browser if you don’t want to.

📜 Latest Updates Page
We’re adding a page that will track game updates, newly released builds, patches, and other changes in one place. No more hunting across the forum for what was updated — it’ll all be centralized.

---

Thanks for sticking around during the downtime.
We’re not just restoring LewdCorner — we’re leveling it up.

More updates soon.

Hey everyone, Apollo here.
Are we supposed to recognize you? I know i have never been super active on the forum but i have never seen your name pop up even once. (nevermind, just saw this was your first message ever on the site).

Isn't that already implemented? I have been using the latest update page for a long time now

Sounds very good on paper, let's hope it works out well!

thought almost everyone hated this idea?, Can't see it get much use tbh.

Appreciate all the hard, long hours you put in to get things working again. Kudos to the whole staff.

Glad everything's back in working order! :D Must've been a stressfull number of days, glad you pulled it off!

Hate to ask, but have steps been taken to implement a proper locally run test forum? With XAMPP it's very easy to set up a local xenforo installation on your desktop, so you can implement all plugins / themes that are currently active on the site and have a reasonable test environment.
Then you don't need to test plugins / themes on the actual forum, so the odds of things going wrong decrease massively.

I think the main problem was that money was planned to be spend on it, and people considered the funds to be better allocated elsewhere as there had been a lack of funds for a while. Apollo is a volunteer from what I remember, so I'm excited to see what he's going to cook up.

I’m not very active on the forum itself — most of my work happens on the Discord and behind the scenes, so that’s why you haven’t seen my name around much.

The latest updates page is there, yeah, but it’s getting a full rework so it’s more accurate, faster, and easier to use.

Glad you’re on board with the post bot idea. As for the launcher — if people don’t fuck with it, no worries. I’ll focus more on the other features the community actually uses. The priority is building things that make the site better for everyone.

For the last year+ there has been post after post saying the site needs more money to function, that funds are out, owner is paying out of pocket, etc etc etc.

How can the team justify paying a dev for a launcher, or spending any time at all where there are so many other issues to deal with on the site on top of how much that would cost?

Also the coins are fucked up again, do we need to pull coins out? Put them back in the bank? do anything with them?

Wasn't this something Heisenberg had an issue with on LewdCorner from other sites doing it and now LC is doing it to other sites? makes no sense (he legit made an entire fake-game thread complaining about it, now it's suddenly fine to do?)

I get why it might look similar on the surface, but the situations aren’t the same.

The site that scraped from us was pulling content from Games+, which is a paid-access section. People spend real money to get into that area, and those guys were taking that paid content and dumping it publicly for free. That’s not “sharing,” that’s straight-up ripping paid work and bypassing the creators’ and uploaders’ efforts.

What we’re doing is completely different.
We’re pulling from public, freely accessible sources — places where the content is already available without payment. Some of them are harder to reach (like JP sources that require a VPN or obscure platforms), but they’re still public. We’re not touching anything behind paywalls.

On top of that, we’ll be crediting the original devs properly and including full post details (install notes, extra info, updates, etc.), not just dumping a game link with no context like some sites do.

So the idea isn’t “steal from others,” it’s to centralize publicly available info, give proper credit, and make it easier for users while still respecting creators and paid content.

I understand the concern, and I’ll try to clarify things as openly as possible.

Our first and absolute priority is always the stability and functionality of the site. That means fixing errors, cleaning up issues, and keeping everything online. Add-ons like the launcher or the upload bot only come after the core site is stable — we don’t treat them as more important than the fundamentals.

We don’t usually make announcements like “fixed X bug” or “adjusted Y setting,” because those updates aren’t very exciting for the community, but they do happen constantly behind the scenes. The outage and rollback definitely didn’t help, and it caused some systems — like coins — to act up again. Those are already on my list, and I’m working through them.

And just for context:
I’ve only been part of the team for about two months. In that time I’ve been working on the site, the launcher, and the bot, but none of that takes priority over keeping LewdCorner stable. There’s no point in building shiny add-ons if the actual platform isn’t functioning.

As for paid infrastructure: we’re not spending irresponsibly. The launcher and bot aren’t huge expenses — most of it is development time, not major financial cost. But I absolutely hear the concern, and site stability remains priority number one.

For the coins:
Right now you don’t need to pull anything out or move them around. They’re just malfunctioning because of the rollback, and that’s something I’ll be fixing as part of the recovery process.

We’re taking things step by step, and my focus is making sure the foundation is solid before anything else.

Yeah, are there really people who want this? I use my browser for all the other sites of the same genre, so no need for anything new.
Might just be a waste of resources which could be spent elsewhere. 🤷‍♂️

Anyway happy to see the site back online again (y)

"paid content" - Games+ is/was free with activity, so that point isn't valid. (again all of the sites like LC, F-5 and the other two sites are all doing the same thing taking paid content from the content creators and making them publicly available)

We’re pulling from public, freely accessible sources — places where the content is already available without payment. Some of them are harder to reach (like JP sources that require a VPN or obscure platforms), but they’re still public. We’re not touching anything behind paywalls.

It's still taking information from other sites to put on your own.. (still stealing)
Will you be crediting the sites you get the information from or just taking that information and posting it as your own?
(while it's good & nice to credit the content creators you're still stealing/taking the information from other sites, which is literally no different than what other sites was doing to LC..

I'm not fully against the idea but when your head administrator and site owner complains and makes a public fake-game thread complaining about other sites doing it then turn around and just do it on this site it's not a great look. (It looks like a "do as I say, not as I do" thing which is awful)

I get where you’re coming from, but let me explain.

About the “Paid Content Games+ is free with activity” point — yes, some content does unlock as you stay active, but that doesn’t mean it’s just free for everyone. There’s still a system in place to control access. The fact that another site takes that same content and just dumps it publicly doesn’t make them “better,” it just means they don’t care about respecting the creator’s or site’s intended rules. That’s not a positive, it’s reckless.

LC does things differently. We never touch paid content behind real paywalls. We only gather games that are fully public or freely shared by developers. The goal is to make it easier to access, while giving proper credit to the people who made the games, guides, and mods. We’re not pretending anyone else’s paid content is ours, and we’re not exploiting creators.

As for taking content from other sites, it comes down to intent and credit. Other sites often just repost content without crediting anyone or profit from it. We make sure the original creators and contributors are recognized, and we focus on content that’s meant to be shared.

So yeah, some sites might appear to offer the same stuff for free, but they often do it irresponsibly. LC’s way is structured, fair, and sustainable — it gives people access without stepping on the creators’ work. That’s the difference, and that’s why it’s not stealing.

Oof. Just re-registered, but I'm guessing that was necessary because I'm only a week old here.

But... it's not YOUR content. You get that right? It is other people's content that you want to charge for and seem to be upset about them doing to you what you are doing to others.

There is literally no difference, LC is as much of a pirate site as all the others are. Nearly all stuff that's on LC is also "stolen" and leaked without permission from the devs. It being available somewhere else makes no difference in their status as pirated game, because they are still "stolen".

And just because they are "free" on other pirate sites, doesn't make it any better, they are still pirated games. Currently nobody has to pay for Games+, so the argument that someone is "ripping paid work" is invalid too, because none of the donation money for Games+ goes to the devs or the uploaders.

Not wanting to get ones stuff copied is one thing and nobody denies that it's a legitimate concern, but claiming that one has a moral high ground in this matter is absurd.

LC does things differently. We never touch paid content behind real paywalls.
I am sorry, but that's either a straight out lie, or you are not familiar with the games here on LC.

I’m a developer, so I focus on building and maintaining the site, not deciding policies.

That “test game thread” was just to confirm that another site was taking content from us — nothing more.

Other sites sharing our content? I don’t care. If anything, it spreads our main goal: getting content into the hands of people who want it. The more it circulates, the better.

Running a site like this can’t be free. Servers, hosting, maintenance, and projects like the upload bot all cost money. Revenue from paid sections lets us offer a better experience: fewer intrusive ads, a smoother interface, and cleaner templates — things I’m actively developing right now.

We make sure to credit the creators, guide writers, and modders properly. Our focus isn’t blocking others or acting superior — it’s keeping the site sustainable while spreading content responsibly and giving users a quality experience.

Was going to check if there is paid games on here and literally the last uploaded game is behind a 5$ paywall (Straitened Times) So yeah that point flew out the window fast 😂

How far did you roll back? I have 2,300 fewer activity coins than I had before and I hadn't collected interest in over a week.

You’re right — I was wrong when I said we never touch paid content. Some of the Games+ content does require activity to access, and we do post that. I shouldn’t have said otherwise.

What matters here isn’t pretending we’re perfect or claiming moral high ground. LC exists to make content more accessible while giving proper credit to developers, modders, and guide writers, and to provide a better overall experience — smoother interface, fewer ads, and proper organization. Running a site like this isn’t free; servers, hosting, and projects like the launcher and upload bot all cost money. We need revenue to keep everything going.

So yeah, some of the content could be considered “pirated,” and we acknowledge that. But we focus on doing it responsibly, crediting creators, and building a platform that works, instead of just dumping links like other sites. That’s the truth.
