So basically just me in a different world with monsters that vary from "cute and tiny and probably able to kill me" to "ugly and large and able to kill me without moving" and also probably demons and evil magi and stuff. Thanks a lot Truck-Kun.

Nothing left to do, look for the local lord's daughter who for some reason is always in danger. Then I basically just roll a d20 to see if I died or lived while trying to save her (nat 1 would lead to getting mistaken for an assailant and killed by guards before I could do anything). Either way my future would be settled.

Scurvy at least is easy to avoid since you know what causes it, as long as you lived in an area that would let you grow the right food. Now, black plague on the other hand...
