I often use AI fiction generators to write interactive erotic stories for my own enjoyment. I started with AI Dungeon and then switched to Novel AI after the censorship issues with AI Dungeon.

While the AI stories are usually on track, they sometimes go very far off the rails with all sorts of crazy stuff that doesn't actually make sense. Here are some examples of stuff I've seen the AI come up with when writing erotic stories:

1) Girls can be impregnated through anal sex.

2) Penises are detachable weapons that can be thrown at people like ninja stars.

3) Catholic priests can get married and when they do they like to sacrifice their wives' female relatives by disemboweling them and fucking their entrails.

4) People who sell girls as slaves give the buyers both the girls and the money.

5) All articles of clothing from bras to shoes to pants can be found inside a girl's panties.

6) It is perfectly normal for a girl to be a grandmother at 22 and also for her daughter to be 26.

7) Men typically get pregnant by having sex with women.

8) Being gang-raped by stallions and forced to give birth to centaurs is a common and accepted form of punishment for shoplifting.

9) Prostitutes typically charge in excess of $1 billion for sex and it is completely normal to be able to withdraw that much money from ATMs.

10) Spankings are more painful and scary than childbirth to the point where girls will offer to have sex and make babies in order to avoid being spanked.

What are some of the odd things you've seen an AI story generator come up with in erotic stories?

It kind of really shows that this kind of AI doesn't understand what it's writing. I had hoped it would be better by now, but I don't even really foresee any great improvements in the future.

But to answer your question, I often see characters in AI stories switching genders for some reason...

A) "Bukkake" is a word that means flat-chested teenager

B) Men like lolicon because a lolicon is an attractive young woman who is fertile

C) Women are born without genitals

D) Lolicons like having sex with twenty five men. They prefer it to having sex with people their own age.

E) Semen gets a lolicon pregnant. Sperm does not.

AI revealed these truths to me when I asked why it was putting lolicons in my story after it chose to put a character in a bukkake scene.

Your explanation makes so much sense! Numbers seem to confuse the hell out of the AI, be they ages, money, passage of time, or anything else. It's annoying, but also quite funny when that happens. If I try to have a time jump in the story for a character to age, that character might be older but no one else will be.

I've seen SO many sex scenes in which more than one event takes place and the girl takes her clothes off all over again in the middle. Usually multiple times. Pulling her bra out of her panties is another oddity, like what was it doing there in the first place?

Another issue is that the AI sometimes understands the concept of virginity and other times gets really confused by it. If I write that the MC wants to have a girlfriend who is a virgin then every woman he meets will be a virgin, even those who are married and have kids. My MC keeps meeting women he wants to date whose mothers, grandmothers, etc. are all somehow virgins!

I've also seen the AI list virginity as a job skill on girls' resumes when they apply for jobs in the stories. One of the funniest scenes I saw recently was when my MC was one of several people in a hiring committee and the AI had one of the other members of the committee ask a 20-something woman who applied for the job, "So, your resume says that you are a virgin. How long have you been a virgin?" It was if the AI thought that being a virgin was an occupation or skill that someone could obtain at work that was relevant for the job of working in a store.

Your problem is the mistaken belief that an ai "thinks" or "remembers."

AI is a word salad machine that picks words from patterns it has been trained on. That's it. Your prompts and past messages are more patterns. How many times do you think ai has seen patterns different from your prompts? It's quite incredible that ai does as well as it does to prioritize any part of your prompt at all.

Edit: If you wonder why online AI does better, it is because online AI isn't just AI. It is a whole set of interpretation systems that modify what the AI gets and what the AI gives back.

AI seems just bad at writing stories, maybe in a few years, but then the AI might have been trained on all the junk stories current AI have written that we will buy books written by humans again! Also AI does not understand human relationships or emotions so that's why they will always fail in writing convincing stories.

AI isn't particularly 'bad' at writing AI stories. Albeit you know which model or prompt to use, but
what AI performs shit at is remembering the context of the story. Which is literal context remember limit for AI. which amounts to 36k tokens, which is roughly 34000 words give or take, and it tends to hallucinate in-between as well.

For me the classic AI gaffe is when characters take their clothes off several times in the same scene, then abruptly my character wakes up and it's the next day already.

I remember back when AI text adventures were a new thing, before this big AI craze... The first time I tried to create a pornographic adventure with it, the AI thought jizz could raise the dead. It promptly filled a graveyard with the goop and steered the adventure into a zombie horror where the zombies were trying to bone family/loved ones to turn them into nympho undead. I gave up on it at that point, the whole thing kept turning into an acid trip gone wrong.
