You could call it a purge if they "purged" all coins from the bank, but not just blocking a function.

The trading is a huge issue tho. Everybody with a decent amount of coins could just gift every new user enough to buy Members+ and many actually did this.
Even I could gift 2,000 users per day a Members+ without making any "loss", but that would be completely contrary to the purpose of the system.

Yes, the contests belong in this category too, because in the end, you receive coins at the pleasure of a user and thus defeat the point of the coin system.
But there is a solution for this. Dunno if this would work, but mods could grand some selected users, who have proven to be trustworthy a "Coin-Trading-Pass", so they can hold contests and gift coins for it.

None of us ever did that. Underlord would occasionally throw a few hundred coins out and have someone
do something odd like change their PFP to his, and Principle Skinner would have a contest to where the best name for
the girl in his AI image got 100 coins, I did the same. But none of us ever took thousands of coins and said here
everybody. I'm tagging the bosses on this, they need to know we were not doing this! Even Mime has told us,
don't randomly go out and give newbies thousands of coins to buy the ranks, and people like me,Surgeon,
Conzi etc. we agreed with Mime.

The only exceptions we ever made, was in the case of Inyo who closed her account, and then came
back shortly with a new account, and us users helped her to get back to P4, Inyo is an artist and posted
in P4 and we all knew her, I even discussed this with Mr. Tearson who said we can't give Inyo back
her P4 because she closed her original account, but if you guys want to help her then be my guest.
And I once helped frog [sand] who had paid physical cash to buy P4, but then he deleted his account
and made another, so I gave him coins to re-buy P4, and shortly after I did so, I found out that Heisenberg
had sent Sand a gold coin to re-buy P4, so me and Heisenberg where on the same page that what's fair is fair
and Sand deserved his P4 back.

And Teaspoon contests! Are we gonna forget that Mr. Teaspoon held some of the greatest contests
that have ever existed on the platform of Lewdcorner? The contests that brought people like me and
Shawn and other users closer together and bonded our friendships! And he used coins in the bank
trade to do so!

Well then punish the guilty, don't punish the non-guilty. That is just more censorship, like someone
playing GTA V and going out and running over people with their cars, punish the one who did that,
don't say we must take away GTA V because a bunch of doofuses went out and decided to run people

But how do you find them? You would have to constantly monitor all transactions (which would most likely lead to terrible lag), and even then you wouldn't know which ones were malicious.

It's the same with all the other stuff that got implemented because of a few bad apples, like the now gone log-in Bonus or the cooldown for giving reactions or the hidden cooldown for recieving coins from reactions.
People can't behave and everybody else has to suffer. Heck even the whole coin system is because of some dickheads wouldn't leave us alone.

And in the end, it's either this or no bank anymore, because the staff dislike the bank because they caused all the too rich users.

I don't agree with that, that's too extreme to say only one of three options must be allowed 1. Staff monitors all transactions.
2. Get rid of all trades. 3. Turn off trade for good.

Way too extreme, and again you are making it sound like we are all running around saying hey newbies take these
5,000 coins from us!

Secondly, Kav nor his staff ever stated the rules say don't give out thousands of coins to newbies,
so they could have said new rule: Don't randomly give out thousands of coins to newbies!

Your positions are extreme EZB, and I don't like extremism!

the alternatives were:
- Reset all activity coins from everyone
- Create a new coin to replace the activity coin completely
- Create a new coin to replace the activity coins with a big ratio (but this doesn't solve the problem)
- Make the Lurkers' thread doesn't give coins for posts/reaction anymore

You should have posted that first. I know Drakkon was the one who turned off the trade option,
because he said he turned it off in discord.

I thought he did that of his own volition. I did not know about the Guz89 comment.

where you give reps, sort of like the coins, but not the same, as the rep system doesn't
buy paywalled content, but it does give badges VIP and Elite.

But the original idea by the mods according to Kavinsky was this 1% bank, no bank
for anyone under P1 i.e. P1 or higher to get bank.


Then Drakkon turns 1% back to 2% in bank, and disables trade.
This shit just gets weirder and weirder, because we were told this was not the plan,
and the plan was the 1% plan.

Edit: I don't see how disabling trade is going to fix the website and make everything all
hunky dory.

Overall? No, I don't think the Coin System was a bad desicion, it was way better than the unclear and opaque system we had before. It just grew too big and complex for what it is. It should have stayed simple.

In my opionion 2 Ranks would have been enough. Members (the regular, not +) and VIP. Anything else should just have been either "Access Items" or "Perk Items".
"Members+" would be an "Access Item" because it grands access to Games+ and Co. Same for P4.
"Profile Customization" would be a "Perk Item" that... well grands the customization options.
And so on.
Simple, with no confusion regarding ranks and what they do.

I know on Walrus they have a rep system,
where you give reps, sort of like the coins, but not the same, as the rep system doesn't
buy paywalled content, but it does give badges VIP and Elite.

Honest opinion? Any rep system is utter garbage.
It is the epidome of elitism. As if some royal were granting privileges to a peasant.

It takes away any ability to make it on your own, and you are dependent on the goodwill of others.
Imagine being a lurker, compared to the Coin System it's horrible


And yes, I generaly very much dislike these kind of hurdles, no matter which system, because it forces people to interact and do things. But I do understand that it is neccessary for those sites.

When the bank started it was only 1%, then they changed it to 2%.
