VN Ren'Py DAZ New York Cuties TABOO [v0.9] [iOtero]

This delineation (not even close to unique to you) is something I find interesting, given that the term comes from the 1950's novel where the character from which the word was coined was 12. So while technically not a teen, in the original use lolis would be 12+ and no younger. (Although the main character in the novel wanted girls from 9 to 14, the term itself is of course from the 12-year-old character specifically.) What I think is the most intriguing is how the term evolved over time to gain specific meanings in certain contexts. In broader English-speaking society (outside of adult entertainment), it generally gets used as an early teenaged girl (not a preteen, but probably no older than 15) who — intentionally or unintentionally — is very seductive to adult males, generally in their 30s or later. (Obviously that's why terms like hebe are used in addition to loli.) Anyway, I'm a language geek, so this type of thing is fascinating to me.
It is quite interesting how the term loli has several different age ranges depending on context. Of course in term of most sexual entertainment featuring loli, loli is child-aged (anything from nepi to preteen), although there is still a broader definition of loli that simply means under-aged (so, in general <18 years old).

Funny how one word can have so many meanings.

It says demo so I'm assuming the game doesn't have much in it?

what is the difference between the TABOO version and the NSFW version. I can safely show the TABOO version to my family at the family table because it is "safe", do I understand correctly? :)

Nothing that I can tell. The "taboo" version I think was with "loli" scenes added. Thing is even then the reader still constantly gets reminded the fake lolis are 18 every 3rd sentence, so it's still shit.

The issue with this dev is all his games are the same.

Early on they stand around posing fully clothed, later they pose naked.

It's about as erotic as me grabbing a sheet of sandpaper and vigorously rubbing my vagina. Both leave me dry, disappointed in myself and uninterested in jilling off.

This comes on the coat tails of the huge disappointment that's known as At Home Again. I will never download another games by this developer.

I don't know why I even tried. I usually don't try to be negative but like... damn. Years ago, tried iOtero's other games. Weren't good at all. Though maybe things have gotten better? Nope. It's 2025 but somehow he manages to use these uncanny looking blowup doll models. Lot's of nonsensical text, very little payoff. Illusion of actual choice. Plus all you do is to stare at naked models at most. Cool.
If I wanted to do that, I'd just boot up DAZ myself and pose characters in there.
I don't think I'll give this guy another chance >.>

Wow I thought Loli was just 18 year olds that looked younger never knew that it really is as said literally underage 🤣🤣🤣. Any one knows one that are true to the name loli

Well, it's the old school definition I go by, not just appearances but actual 12 and unders. Pretty sure the new definition was just made up on the spot awhile back by those that got caught fapping to them ("It's not what it looks like, I'm not a ped0, they are actually 18, they just look 10!" as if imaginary cartoons have verifiable ages via real world birth certificates). The OG definition comes from the 1955 book Lolita, about a dude obsessed with a 12yo that he eventually rapes.

Nicest_Incest is spot on. The origin of the term is the Vladimir Nabokov novel, Lolita, where Dolores (aka "the nymphet") is a 12-year-old who becomes the obsession of her stepfather. So technically for someone to be a loli, the actual age needs to be 12 (or under, as the term over time was expanded to include younger ages too).

I saw the book a while back while free browsing, thought it was just a book someone recent wrote and got published, I remeber remarking at the fact that the book was established long ago, guess lolicons are not a new generation thing😅

The Japanese popularized it, but the loli genre has existed probably as long as porn has, it just wasn't called that yet (Stone Age).

If you've seen A Game of Thrones (or read the books), you'll have an idea of what has existed in the real world for literally millennia. This is absolutely nothing new: we have historical examples from the Middle Ages and even further back.

Started the book but haven't watched it yet, but wow guess this degeneracy wasn't a 21st century disease

Loli is slang, and has no hard and fast rules anywhere. It started from 'Lolita' to mean hebe, but spread around the world and morphed. It could now mean paedo or hebe or even ephebe or adult that looks young. This makes it a poor choice as a tag, but preferable to Paedo for obvious reasons.

It would be useful for the finding games if the tag system defined the Hebe tag better, and then the Loli tag as younger than Hebe. Consistent enforcement would also be helpful.

Paedo - under 11 / Hebe - 11-14 / Ephebe 15-17 (jail bait)

Lastly, some games belong in Game+ because of a tiny bit of content. It would be nice if there was a warning in the OP when any tag doesn't represent the general theme of the game.

I hate to say anything positive about the scammer that is BlueCat and EcchiSensei, but damn... the DarkMind patch, although it wasn't the first, did lay a solid foundation for what a "Taboo version" should be. Incest + Re-age (Although I think incest was the default, I don't remember if they had the "step" tag)

I understand why some devs are cautious with that content, I don't blame them. Calling them cowards is silly because no one wants to end up in court for something fictional...
"Your taxes are being well spent. We'll bring someone who didn't harm anyone to justice because we don't like the pixels he created. Poverty and infrastructure solutions? Don't be a silly citizen, judging someone under our moral compass is more important."

Anyway... I'm fine with you guys throwing hate. While incest is Taboo, for people who play AVN, incest is pretty vanilla. While what he says isn't false... it wouldn't have cost him anything to add an option to re-age characters and wash his hands of it by saying "What players do is not my responsibility," because there's nothing stopping someone in Minecraft, for example, from creating pixel art of Lolis, and it wouldn't be Mojang's fault.

The best solution for Taboo content is always either a patch or the player's free choice.
"This is Amanda, what is your relationship with her?" Boom! Done, there you have incest.
"How old is Amanda?" Boom! Done, there you have Lolis.

And my prize?
I say this last bit with partial sarcasm. Obviously, saying that a 12-year-old character goes to college creates obvious inconsistencies, but if your game isn't going to feature that type of content to begin with, then don't try to introduce Taboo content just to gain visibility by incentivizing morbidity.
Again, it's a shame to say anything positive about BlueCat, but in EcchiSensei, the school is treated as an establishment with different grade levels, but they never directly tell you which grades or anything like that. Care was taken to avoid that type of inconsistency, so both the fixed and original ages would work without causing problems in the narrative.

most are prob finding it not even worth pirating, let alone paying even once just to leak it. Unless someone does it just for the sake of site up-to-date completeness like when abandoned AVNs are added.

Shiny Devon is a hero in that regard as far as One Summer In Loliwood. Dated at this point but it's still gold, no bullshit guessing games with ages as the characters themselves outright state them before gettig fucked (mostly 7-15's). If only everyone did if they were in a country where it was legally safe to do so (ie Brazil, probably US, etc).
