discussion Preferred age of the protagonists?

Ages are generally subject to the context of the game, but that doesn't mean you can't have your preference.


~20 Young, technically adults, but impulsive.
~25 Young adults, but not as hormonal or foolish.
~30 More mature, wiser, less impulsive.
~35 Halfway through life and respected for it.
+40 MILF/DILF aged like a fine wine.

now that i think about it i dont really have a preference for MC age, so i will just say whatever fits the story best

I'm not super picky about protagonist age, as long as it makes sense (e.g. I get a little annoyed when "18" year old protagonists are starting their first year of a "college" that's clearly high school, or are somehow a head shorter than their mother).

I'm not really into child or old man MCs, but then there's not too many of either so no issue.

Exactly i play games to try out new alternative lives. not to just live my normal life on a screen

I don't really like it if the MC is too awfully old...

What I will say, is that I HATE when game's are too scared to make their MC younger than 18... Like they always want to make a game about high school romance, but just slap the 18 label on everywhere. Like at least give me the option to change his age to a high school age if you're too scared to make the age explicit in a game explicitly about high school

As long as they act their age I don't care to much about the age of the mc.

Any age is fine, except the extremes on both ends, I guess. Just as long as the dev writes around it, and especially uses appropriate dialogue
