Hi, all.

I'm the deviant that makes
Burned and Malignant, and I want to voice my displeasure at this new active member thing.

Lewd Corner has been a very reliable hub for my updates. It's actually the only hub I maintain. For months, I've been working away on V.3 of Burned and excitedly inching toward the day I can post it here for everyone to enjoy.

Except now, not everyone is going to be able to enjoy it.

Let’s be real: most people visiting this site and playing these games are trying to get off. They don’t have the time or inclination to post meaningful replies on a forum. When I’m not actively engaging with an update I just released, I use this site just like any other anti-social pervert, spending maybe five minutes on this site doing the following:

1. Clicking ‘Latest updates.’
2. Finding a game.
3. Downloading the game.
4. Closing LC and playing the game.

If I didn’t have Dev Status, I would not have the motivation to jump through the hoops to find the hidden section where my games are currently located. I love you all, but I simply don’t have the urge to spend 16 hours actively nitpicking the finer points of NTR with strangers. Hell, even with Dev status, I can't find the Burned and Mal pages without going through the notification button.

Foster an active community by all means, but please don't force it by restricting access to my games. I put an absurd amount of work into these projects—like ‘oh my god what the fuck am I doing with my life’ amount of time—and when I’m done, I present them exclusively on Lewd Corner.

Call me selfish, but I don’t just want the quality active users playing my games; I want the anti-social perverts, the basement trolls, and undercover feds to enjoy them, too. I want the shame-filled fappers who never say anything because they’re too busy crying in the shower afterward.

At the very least, can Admin remove the sinner status so I can be lumped in with the easy-to-access normie games? I’ll happily remove/censor any iffy screenshots. Hell, I’ll even pull some F95 BS and create a taboo patch… that will probably end up being like 90% of the game, but whatever.

Then instead of crying like this, offer some ideas to forum admins on what to do so that Karens don't report every restricted game to the point that server hosts declines host service to this forum.

I don't appreciate the whataboutism to de-legitimatize complaint, considering you should know as well as anyone that if anyone here knew how to stop it they'd have posted about it by now. That doesn't make this requirement stuff any less obnoxious from an end user standpoint.

But that being said, wouldn't asking a host for records of reports be a worthwhile idea, maybe find a common pseudonym like "Esther M. Aronowitz" or something?

I mean.... is making people jump through hoops going to stop those Karens? They'll jump through hoops like everyone else. They're Karens.

Honesty, maybe we should just not be so blatant about the game's content in the screenshots? Auto-change the taboo words like f95 so it's all step dads and step-sisters.

I guess we're stuck with this for a while

This anti-social pervert literally logged in today for the first time in a month or so just to check if you had released an update to Burned yet and found myself locked out of the thread. It's not even in my "watched threads" list anymore. Guess the 2 years I've had an account here as a lurker don't count for shit.

honestly the 10 posts thing isn't bad but i think the time requirement is going to be a one time annoyance.Yyou have the eyes below your name so you should have access to the forum for sinners on top of Developer status.

Well blame the assholes who keep reporting the site to the host. Nothing to good lasts long.:coffee:

So till another better host is found again we all have to put our big boy pants on and deal with it.

I agree with the dev here, but I also understand the need for a deterrent. Yes, some of those people are gonna jump through the hoops to get there and report everything, but most will give up since commenting here and being active would leave quite a large digital footprint that I doubt they would be smart enough to know how to hide.

To the dev, I appreciate your hard work and speaking out against the current state of affairs.

I discovered this site because I was searching for Malignant, and then was able to discover Burned and other really great content before the access was taken away.

I'm going to try to hit the numbers required to see the content, but having to jump through hoops is frustrating when i just want to see and read good VNs.

I think that the two advantages of the restrictions, stopping people from easily been able to report content and increase in activity, will only really half work. I think that you will see a lot people make very few posts once they hit the post and time limit.

The other part is it reducing discoverability of the site and the games themselves. I know that I found LC because some of the games I liked were removed from other sites and I searched them, which I don't think will work anymore because I don't image that the pages are still indexed on Google and other search engines.

Wish you the best Deaufosse.

I'm in the same boat. F95 deciding they didn't want to host a game and then trying to find an alternative place for it. Since I've been here for a year and a half, I know what's on the other side, but if I were to stumble here trying to find an alternative initially? Probably would never have bothered.

Why did you copy and paste word for word my text? That's not cool.

To Deaufosse:

I share you thoughts on the matter, and it's good to hear it from the developer side. I had a homie named Kevin who made.... abstract art of both copyrighted and original models but couldn't get hosted well anywhere. It wasn't to my taste, but it was well done. I think it was a tragedy that he couldn't be discovered by those who would have been in to his stuff.

I played Burned earlier in its development and will try it out again probably after the next update. Malignant I've kept up with each time it's updated. I really appreciate what you're doing in the storytelling and the experience. The art is great too, but it's such a fresh perspective that I almost forget that part. I hope you keep working on your projects. If you do change drop sites, would you lemme know where?

the dev's really be struggling these days

I understand way LW are doing this but i also understand Dev and users that are complaining about it.
I think we just have to accept for now and wait for LW to solve the host problem.
Just give them time so they can do'it right.
I'am a lurker but dont have any problems to writh some comments so i can get what i want.
Just remember that the alternative is to put it behind a paywall...

Hey @Deaufosse,
One of my favorite devs! When do we get an update for Malignant? :p

While I absolutely get your point, and have my concerns voiced about this aswell, there are some things I'd like to add from a lurkers PoV:

This change has actually made me to enjoy giving feedback to games again! I bet you Devs love to know how the people react to your creations aswell. After all the opposite of love is not hate - it's not reacting at all.

Cheers to you, and I sincerely hope we will see alot more from you in the future!
