I mean it technicly is a public release if it is on discord and anyone could get it there, putting it behind a discord level that can be reached through activity isn't really a restriction. On f95 author said that it is available in discord but that he himself will not leak it to other sites and that maybe the person that usally leaks it is still in bed.

Personally as someone who isn't paying for it, I don't mind waiting a few more days on the release it gives other people more incentive to support the auther if they are able to, while also giving everyone access after some time.

Why would an active subscriber want to pay for early access, and leak it right away for everyone else who isn't paying?

You should buy a subcription and leak it to attract new supporters
