Um, unless they did a stealth release for anything past Season 2 Chapter 2, they haven't released anything new in months, much less a couple of weeks ago. If I'm not mistaken 0.8.x is Season 1 and that has been done for a long time, and Season 2's first two chapters got finished and then the devs got hit with a bunch of issues (Steam blocking the second season because of their use of celebrities, itch.io being itch.io, etc.) and are now working on the next chapters, as well as a new game. They did put chapter 1 and 2 of Season 2 out on their own self-hosted site for people to download, recently, which might be what you're thinking of, but that released at the beginning of the year.

Yeah, they had to completely retool, this game as it is, is officially finished, and they are working on what will be essentially a spiritual successor, I believe. I honestly haven't really kept up with it recently, but I believe their plan was for it to be more episodic - with a bunch of smaller stories centered around a central crew, to make it more akin to the Star Trek homage it originally was intended to be, but without the direct comparisons (and other intellectual property inclusion that got it into hot water in the first place, specifically the celebrity parodies in a certain scene were what got season 2 banned). Sadly, I assume it will also end up losing out on the incest plot-lines, as they are - if I'm not mistaken - still on Patreon and still trying to get whatever this new game will be onto Steam. Best bet for info on it would be to look at their Patreon. I think they may have a website as well, or possibly even a Discord, but I don't really know, honestly.
