It was a spring mattress, and let's say one of the spring decided that it didn't want to be confined anymore inside of it... So it broke it's way and made a hole

Sorry to hear that, the exact opposite happened to me not that long ago. The springs in the center of my mattress somehow disappeared and I had a huge dip in mine. You never realize how much the mattress itself affects your sleep
