This is posted here because of everyone talking about censored stuff in the games we post and the future of sites like this well its about ubisoft now 2ish days ago tencent purchased a quarter of the company.

Well either do too that purchase or more likey for the new upcoming laws farcry 4 with over 10 million sales just got a censorship patch.

Why does this matter for this site or at all? well because even a product that came out 10years ago is being tossed cash in the forum of a patch on all version to censor a bar ass/tits we all know how the AAA market is with cash on older games even when there totally broken its just tossed aside.

So now they are getting paid people to patch very old games to censor them just shows the future we are getting into.

Yes people are getting updates for other titles as i type expect more to get patched asap so if you are playing old games like farcry 3 scene at the end expect that to get patched out also.

No doubt these rush patch jobs will leave new bugs/issues also

Censorship is always bad. This example is just another one of the "let's change the past" thing.
And you can always pinpoint who are the ones behind it.

That censored version is actually just the japanese version of FC3, so there was no extra work done by them.

Gog sure but last i checked these games on pc digitally were on steam/ubi app which do not have this option.

That censored version is actually just the japanese version of FC3, so there was no extra work done by them.

I thought aswell but in the first link is a steam db link its not changed version in the change log they are manually changing files/tags and uploaded a patch. They even went as afar as making a blur in farcry 3 so you do not see your friends pre kidnapping in there swim suits.

So like them putting a video add in assassin creed oddysey they were like oops david hit the blue button again its once again David's fault for uploading around the world and not realizing the mistake till the 3rd day after major backlash.

Well glad its being undone/rolled back but once again its just straight bs no one ever just puts up a update this large with 0 testing or over-site.

This here was there last "technical error" because you know coding a entire new ui element into the engine then making the add from scratch is just one of these things that happens with the wrong button.

This is silly. We just had a whole thing about TikTok being bad because of Chinese spying, and now they just let this happen. It makes me feel like they aren't all that concerned about China getting US data.

Well any educated person knows mark/elon has way more data on the people of American than ticktok then you got sundar in the chair of a company that been using bot crawl tech sense the 90's to create a searchable database of information.

Some more games need to just make an amazing game that just happens to have NSFW content, and a lot of it. Baldurs Gate 3 is a great step towards this end.
