I'd say yay, but then again, I might be biased.🤣 Do you like a story that has a clear direction of where it's heading? Tags and roadmap wise I mean. The focus is the story, but it will have plenty of the other stuff, which is completely optional. You don’t like a girl, then don't pursue her. You want them all, go for it. Worried about certain content, please read the tags. I list what will, may, and is 100% not going to be included. Something not there, ask. I am more than happy to clear any concerns.

Now does it have a ton of content? Debatable. Some have said yes, some have said no. It's just day 2 of 3 of the prologue, which is in development.

The story has an mc that's not a pushover, but not a playboy either. He's not perfect, but that's a good thing. He doesn't see women as objects and may struggle more than the girls to wrap his head around the idea, but he's not going to bitch about it either. So he won't be all "but this is wrong", it will be more in line with "are you sure?". Consent is everything. But like I said... he ain't a bitch.

If that sounds interesting to you, then go for it. If you like it, I hope to see you around. If you decide it's not for you, thank you for your time, and I hope you find one that you enjoy.

Either way, if and when you try it out, let me know what you think.

Ps. Almost forgot, please read the dev notes since it has the code to access the nsfw stuff. An option to enable/disable this feature is in the works, but for now you need the code.

I might wait a bit before I play it for more content, if it's on Itch.io I'd happily buy it or whatever because the game seems interesting. I do have a few questions; will it have a Harem? What other tags are you planning? Also going back to the MC who doesn't disrespect women or treat them bad, I've been playing a game where you steal your "friends" wife because he's been ignoring her and cheating... I like that. So, if the game has any sweet home Alabamia moments and you can steal the MCs Mom from his dad that would diabolical, and I would love it lol. Also, sweet home Alabamia moment is incest. 😅

It isn't alabama style. Sis and mom are a no go. I won't lie to you about that. One of the relations is customizable, you do you. It is harem centric. Their might be some netori (you steal) but that would be debatable. If they left, is it stealing? But there is something else that I will leave for the story that I don't recall seeing, at least as I have it planned. Most hard pass tags are in the genre section. I don't want to start a war mentioning them here. But I write more romance than other types of relationships.

loved it i played it when it was first posted on here and have been waiting for an update despite it not having anything happening yet content wise it's already one of my favorites glad to see it's still being worked on and excited to see what future updates brings
Just realized I never asked... did you use the code for the sexy content (NSFW)? It should be in the dev notes. Next update will have an option in the settings. By default it is turned off.

Still hard at work. Like I mentioned before, this last scene will have 4 outcomes, but 3 paths render-wise. I am working on the in tandem so the sequence will be fluid and coherent in all paths regardless of which the player decides to take. At the moment there are 177 stills in this scene alone, and 7 animations, and we (me) are only 1/3 through.

Sound: Mostly completed, just waiting for the animations so I can run through the whole update for any sound (doors, door bell, etc.) that might have been missed. Music should be completed but, just to be sure, I'll check that as well once the animations are done.

Overall I'm just waiting for the animations so I can integrate them, and once I have those I can work on the different path options for scene 15. Which has been completed (pending animations) in the canon route, but now I have to work through the various routes to make sure I don't include images and dialogues that may change from route to route.

Testing! Testing!

All renders, animations, coding, and SFX have been completed. I will now enter the testing phase, which means 4 different routes with 4 different endings plus 1 secret ending. It's nothing critical, just an option for those who follow a very specific path, and it's just 1 render.

Now, onto some big factor regarding this update. I had to make some changes. What does this mean? Not much overall, just that I had to redo some variables.

What does this mean for you? Sadly, that you have to restart. Or maybe just load before establishing the relations, that may help.

Another unrelated change will be on the next updates and how they will be structured. Initially I had made a statement that the updates would be 1 in-game week per update. That won't be logical in the long run. Why? Simple. I have all major points/events in the story drafted, including the in-game duration of the story and I will share some points as to what will change in my previous statement and why.

What changed?
I believe it would be best to make 2 in-game weeks per update.


Why?

As I said, I know the duration of the story, and I will break down some non spoilery but critical info. As you know the project is titled Peace of Mind: Watcher's Eye. That there is you first clue. Peace of Mind. Watcher's Eye is the current arc within the story. So is it more than one game? No. I separated the story into 2 arcs, Watcher's Eye (WE) and Roots of Malice (ROM). Each arc is meant to tackle a specific point in mc's journey, and take 6-ish in-game months, and 1 week per update would take years if not decades. We don't want that. WE attacks mc's battle to find peace at last and establish what he truly holds dear to his heart, while ROM deals with mc facing his past while ensuring a safe future for his loved ones. Another reason I had this safeguard in place was project size. If the project becomes to big, I have a clear point where I could split it. Just know from the get go, this was always the plan and... there WILL be a time-skip that is tied into the story. Why? Face-Off isn't based on reality. If you understood, good for you, if not, don't worry, you'll enjoy it.

With the MC being stated as not a social person, I feel the 1st choice was a let down being forced to only 1 option. Why not have it where if you choose to ignore then Mel informs MC of situation and directs him there or just remove the choice completely? I'm not a fan of VN's that give false choices like that. That said, it seems to have promise to a decent story with the planned tags (harem/pregnancy). Will watch to see how this develops.

The threesome lines between the girls is so new and unique. It is unlike most of AVNs. Keep going dev. We need more writing of that style in MFF scenes. Wish you Best.
