I don't know what you're suggesting, but it sounds like "they rewrote more than half the chapter" is going in one ear and out the other. In other words... they wrote the entire chapter, then scrapped and rewrote half of it, which is what's cited as causing the delay. Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 are roughly the same size but Chapter 6 didn't get a rewrite after it was nearly finished being developed, which is the difference I was referencing.

The changelogs you showed does not disprove or change any of that.

I'm well aware of that part, unless we are talking about Book-like Pages i'm still not convinced that for example he worked 4 Months on Ch 7 that it then took him 6 Months to rewrite the said "Pages".

Its more believable if you have experience w/ creative writing. 120-200 pages of story is more daunting that it sounds. Sure, if you just hammered away at a keyboard as fast as possible, this is something you could get done in a month or two. But creative writing takes more than that, it takes planning, creative inspiration, and numerous tweaks, adjustments, and revisions. There's a reason that many authors will sometimes take anywhere from 2-6 years to write 1 book. It's not that it's impossible to get it done in far less time, but rather that time allows it to evolve into something much better

Yes it makes sense, i thought about that too after my Comment and previous comments were most likely abit to harsh. It's not like a Story pops up out of the blue already perfectly written and just have to type it down.
I also remembered that i tried to write a very short Book myself for myself and close Friends decades ago, it definitely ain't easy as it sounds.

Playing the game without the True Edition will have you missing a ton of content, lol. It doesn't just add images/videos, it also adds massive changes to the code and dialogue every single chapter, features like the ability to set their age, unlocks otherwise locked scenes and choices, etc.

Images and videos are only patched out when a chapter includes lewd/suggestive stuff with Norah or Alita, or obvious-contextually dark content like the Liv rape scene... which obviously won't be the case every chapter in a harem game. That doesn't mean the patch does nothing when no images or videos appear in the folders. Telling people "the patch does nothing" or "it's an illusion" is therefore dumb.

Make sure you're using either WinRAR or 7zip, then simply extract the files contained within the "True Edition" patch. Then all you need to do is drag/drop the 'game' folder into your 'Radiant' folder. Do not change, move, or remove anything that is already contained in the 'Radiant' folder/subfolders.

If it's still not working, right-click the patch file and click 'Properties.' Under the 'General' tab, check to see if Windows Defender "blocked" the file. Tick the "unblock" box then try again.

Nah, there is still a lot of interest in the game. They actually gained a lot of subs with this release. They had around 700 and they now have over 1k. But yea for the wait time, it felt small.

Indeed, interest in this game is still very high/consistent, SubStar also grew and I think people like the guy above are just feeling fatigued/getting themselves overly stressed out reading forums like F95 where people do nothing but talk shit and spread (a lot of objectively false) rumors about the game and the game's devs.

Whether people like to accept/admit it or not, there seems to be mostly valid reasons for the delays with Radiant, and the narratives that the dev is just a lazy shit who sits around doing nothing all day is severely exaggerated. The first 4 Polarity updates were huge, like twice the size of other games, and the first 7 Radiant updates were generally on the larger side as well: though there is a lot more branching/pathing and there's no sandbox or other big "time-spenders" (like we commonly see in adult games), so it can feel shorter.

That's 11 big game updates in 6 years. And unlike with a lot of other AVNs where the choices are mostly binary or purely an illusion: the choices in Radiant actually affect things and come with a lot of additional dialogue, flavor, and alternate outcomes, which further increases the time it takes to develop. Radiant is a big and ambitious project and it's going to take time, but so long as it stays consistent, a lot of people are fine with waiting.

I think one of the reasons why people spread rumors is because the communication hasn't been very good. Long periods of wait time, plus lack of frequent communication leads people to come up with their own theories about what is going on with the game.
Another issue is that a lot of games end up getting abandoned so people want to feel like the game actually has a future and for a lot of people it's hard to see it being finished when you only get 1 update per year and the game is supposed to have around 20 chapters. If they find a way to release update a little fast I think most of the complaining and shit talking will calm down.

For some reason I can not run the new release. I had saved 6.3 true edition wiht the Sancho mod. However the new version 7 wont let me load and instead takes me back to the begining. Any sugestons ideaa?

If there is no new Sancho mod (and I believe he retired) then you are likely SOL as the code has been altered. New game without the mod (clean reinstall), fast-forward to the choices.

Walkthrough mods break saves: the only way to stop them from breaking saves is to install the updated (newer) version of the mod (one matching the game version#).

As others have said, Sancho is no longer updating his mods, so you're going to have to start a new game. You can hold "CTRL" or tap "TAB" to skip (make sure you tick "Unseen Text" in the menu), then just re-select your choices from the previous chapters until you're all caught up.

Joker has a pretty good walkthrough mod for Radiant, if you'd like to try that, but personally I recommend playing Radiant unmodded, as the choice system is meant to be flexible and immersive rather than restrictive.
