i was surprised at how much i liked this game, looking forward to the next update

While the models are a bit unusual, I am quite fond of them.
Also its surprisingly well written.

Oh man I love the game! And I love the models, its refreshing from all the same super model characters you always get.

BUT,

I really really dislike Macy. The whole lying and manipulating really ticks me off. She wants MC all to herself and her sis, thats fine- totally understandable, but the lying and manipulating, and treating MC as a cheater, all the while MC has been nothing but honest with her. She needs some tough love and a time out in front of Denise and Brooke to find out its not OK to act this way.

I'd say this is what makes Macy such a three dimensional character, at least for an AVG.
She is clearly flawed and struggles to adress her own shortcomings, as well as expressing her own feelings in healthy ways, and if she tries, tends to overcorrect and/or take the wrong lessons from it.
But it more then not shows that she deeply cards for her family.

I'd even go so far to say that Macy is the more compelling character, compared to Denise, because she has more obvious room to grow as a person, while Denise is an all around Cinnamon roll.

I agree that she is a compelling character, and the flaws really add to the dimension. And I'm sure she will eventually grow out of her jealousy once she doms Brooke a bit, but still I'd love to see MC being a bit more firm handed with her and give her some tough love punishment (and then lots of cuddling cause she is a good girl when shes not being manipulative).

But Denise is hands down my favorite daughter! I miss the showers and exploring her little butt tho. Shes not getting a lot of time now that shes the only one that stays home. But I reckon once she starts dedicating herself to her next project and MC starts helping her she'll get more time.

All in all this is def one of my favorite games for lighter mood. (y)

Not sure what it is about this one but I've never been tempted with this one. It might be the art style. I should give it a chance though

The models look a bit unusual, yes, but it is very much an art style and it certainly does not "look like all the other games"

Also this it's probably one of the games where the writing won me over the most, especially the character writing, as the story itself isn't grand or anything, it is very character driven.

I'd say defetivly worth a try.

Seen folks shitting on this game on other sites, personally think it's one of the best out there
The models are off-putting at first but the characters are so charming that they grown on you. They don't have conventionally attractive faces or perfectly shaped bodies but they are unique and well-written.

I know that the models aren't everybody's cup of tea, but this is one of the best written and funniest games out there. The updates are slow in coming, but lengthy. It's a very slow burn getting to the daughters, and it is possible to lock their paths, but it's a great experience if you like the visuals.

I've wondered, would this game have been 100 times hotter with conventual attractive characters, or do the odd models help build the attraction overtime and make the payoff sweeter?

I've always wondered about the weirdly strong reactions to the models. I mean, I know plenty of people who look like these models (in fact some of them are mishmashes of actual people I know, or people I see daily in the streets, at offices, working the register when I'm buying a coffee, etc.). Sure, there's a touch of stylization and exaggeration in LomL (larger eyes, more base to the hips), but it's not all that extreme by any stretch.

But... I know hardly anyone who looks like the perfectly-symmetrical-faced hourglass-figured supermodels featured in so many VNs. I mean, it's fine if anyone prefers supermodels over the average girl you actually might bump into in real life in their VN, I'm not the VN police telling them what they must like. But to get all "ewww, I only fuck straight up movie stars, these normal girls make me puke" as some do, I could never figure that one out, and I hope they don't intend to keep those standards up in their RL relationships (or good luck to them finding a life partner not made of latex if they do).

My 2ct on conventional models straight from the DAZ3d store: absolutely boring, there's nothing that grabs your attention.

That is a good point. Irl I have an attraction to people with something unique about them. I maybe just have gotten used to more traditional models in the games, wether 3d anime style or more traditional 3d

Just in case it needs to be said, don't let it get to you. Internet will internet.
Your style is very grabby, it drew my curiosity in and the writing/scenes sealed Light of My Life as one of my favorites. So you do you man, because you're doin' well.

The models are not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but they are unique and refreshing to me. But the story is solid. The updates take a long time but they tend o be very meaty and substantial. Great game.

It's in the queue, but I have yet to DL and play it. I ignored it for the longest time because the models didn't visually appeal, but then I heard about the story being so well put together and started seeing a variety of other models that were a little less "traditional" in other VNs and got it on the list. I thought about starting at the last update, but this one is moving along quickly, so I'll probably wait for ch 9 while I try to catch up on about a dozen others.

I recommend starting with Season 1. It's satisfying on its own, and you'd be a little confused if you jumped in at Season 2.

I didn't realize it had been seasonalized. Still might put it off a little because I have another VN that's starting a "Season 3" and I'm only a couple of releases into "Season 2" right now.

I totally understand why some like this game. The story is good, but it isn't really my cup of tea
