discussion Anti-Social & Lurker - Hideout spot

[Quetz]

While i'm here, here is the new update for Dreamland

Didn't know that game was still being worked on. Played the free version on Steam almost 18 months ago.

That's also why the Lurker Threads exist, by the way! Because so many of us were Lurkers with no intention of talking, but wanting to make coins...

And, at least in my case, this thread has the funny side effect of actively increasing my commitment. I have access to the things I want to have access to, but I'm still checking in regularly.

How the hell does the All... fallen site still exist, I mean they can be nice enough( some are poison level toxic) but I wouldn't want to live near many of them considering I have younger siblings. How does that site still exist?

Probably owned and hosted in a country with very permissive laws regarding its content.

They also don't have realistic AI art now that I think about it

I don't frequent them, personally. But didn't they recently just struggle from an attack?
LC has never been taken down, they've just been reported - the responses are the Owners own choice. His site, his rules - I don't think we can judge him for being risk-averse given the nature of the thing. All the things I've described have been measures that have been put in place in response. Rather than us hanging on for dear life whilst people attack us.

---

By the way, I'm really hoping that if I'm wrong one of the Mods/Backreaders will come by and correct me.
I give them full permission to add a Mod Edit to any of my posts, as I would hate to sow disinformation!

So now that things are being moved behind P5, what's the point in getting any other prestige tier other than visual flair? Seems a waste of coin really

If P5 contains all the previous tiers, there isn't a point to getting others, except to get access to their content earlier.

Normal Membership = Games
Members+ = More Games
P1 = Your "Likes" are no longer locked behind a timer, meaning can give more frequently
P2 = Aesthetics (I recommend Skipping)
P3 = Aesthetics (I recommend Skipping)
P4 = AI Art
P5 = More AI Art

Basically, P5 is to P4 what Members+ is to Normal Membership, only with AI Art instead of Games.

There is talk of making P1/P2/P3 more useful, but it's a work in progress and takes considerable organisation from the mods.
Since everything was just thrown into P4 as more of a knee jerk reaction, that's where it's stayed. But it could start to trickle down, maybe, that's just my guess right now.

sure there is...badges are kinda like the pokemon the kids ran around after, gotta collect them all really though the badges do look cool and kinda shows folks you are progressing through the ranks.

Exactly -- Right now you can grind for members + b then beg for a handout to get P1 and a few weeks later buy yourself whatever Having them all shows dedication and swagger

Well that's what I'm getting at. P2 and P3 hold very minor visual customization things, but are also pricy investments of coins that are better spent just sitting in the bank until you hit P4, or now P5. Genuinely you could look at P2 and P3 as hindrances in actually getting things quicker. They're coin sinks as they currently stand, though as Mono says that's liable to maybe change.

[uncbuck]

Are you not joining P5?

I want to sit by your bear knees and hear wonderful stories about the promised land -- first - Great to see you Kuma

You could, but that felt different. 230k is such a high number its almost like its not meant to be reached.

Nawwwwwwwwwwww once you have over a million you can buy it and hardly feel the bite to your savings - and a million LC is really is not that much

I think you're right, specially if P4/5 holds any value to you.
Personally, I think it's a good move to only buy a rank when you have at least double its cost in the bank. That way, the other ranks are just a speed bump, and you don't have to start from zero for any new ranks that will be added.

This is the best summary in one place I've seen of the landscape for what levels are. Good work.

well I currently have more than double the cost of P3 in the bank but thought I'd wait until I got above what I need for P4 to purchase it for just that reason, so I can still be close to the P4 goal. This also will give me that little ahh feeling to hold me off a bit longer on the P4 jump.
