Oh I hadn't thought about it that way. Where I live there's barely any ice ever so I didn't take it into consideration.
In your case shouldn't you be talking with your boss/manager about those extra shifts. They should pay you very handsomely to cover for other people. Otherwise it's not worth the effort.

My fingers are crossed for you. Often times a freeze will suck the last bit of life out of a weak battery. If it does charge this time it's advisable to replace it asap.

The damn situation knocked on my door too. Recently, when I came home from work and parked my car, I noticed that my headlights lit up brighter as soon as I pressed the gas. So the battery alone doesn't give enough sparkle. I have to give gas for it to burn at full power. And that's causing the charging dynamo to overload the battery. I just changed the battery last year. I don't do long trips. I guess that's why the voltage drops. It's a bad situation.
