So another nations is again influencing another nation i wonder if this will go after places like DLSITE next

Gameradar link on the japan bank block

Of course people support this because they can not think past the word adult if they could actually create a thought they would realize video games like grand theft auto could not be sold in japan for fear of being put into the same category as a porn game sense gta has a strip club. With rules/bills always read he fine print.

Will other countries do the same thing?

You are panicking too much. For the first case it will probably be resolved quickly, it's not like developers started to put their games on Steam today. It was fine earlier, I am 99% sure it will be fine now too.
About the second case - AC shadows is a special case for Japan. Ubisoft made a "historically accurate" game in Japan setting where they inserted a foreigner, they called him a samurai, gave him golden armor and he can dismember and slaughter civilians as much as he wants because they are depicted as lvl 1. More than that Ubisoft disrespected their Tori gates, flora don't match their seasons and important NPCs look like chinese philosophers. No wonder Japan is pissed.

Well, both of those things are basically "wait and see" situations.

Do Japanese banks do this on their own initiative or because they are forced to do so by an external authority?
To me it reads like they are kinda forced, because somone outsite of Japan sees those earnings as somehow criminaly charged and because of the "Transfer of Criminal Proceeds and the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act" the japanese banks can't allow them into Japan.
This would at least match with everything that happend in the past. For example the canclation of payment methods for DLsite by western payment processors which are acting on US-Laws.

Did already happen? DLsite has canceled several ways to pay aleady, for example via PayPal.

I think the real issue lies with how credit card companies are screwing over the Dlsite could lead to some difficulties until people find a workaround if there even is one.

Well, there is. You just buy dlsite coins and use coins to buy games. That's how I am doing it.

Huh the more you know, but I’m surprised that the credit card companies haven’t done a follow up on that?
When I look now I see they made it harder, but still possible.

Anyway thanks for the info, I’ll just have to keep an eye on it then to see if it gets better or worse.
Yeah, now you need to make account on some 3rd party site and order your points from there. One additional hurdle, easy to overcome.

the bigger problem imo is western companies are having control over payment using banks (debit/credit card). what i mean is visa and mastercard are western companies, and they're having too much control over international payment cos they're the one that are universally accepted over many countries. and since they're having that much control, they tend to threaten to pull off from something that western people deemed inappropriate or whatever even though for eastern people it's not at all.

Japan has always had a stricter censorship system, it's not like it just started, the two things are not connected personally.

I definitely agree, if someone wants to step in and change things it should ultimately be up to a country’s government to handle these sort of things and to go through the proper procedures and channels if a government chooses to do so. Businesses have no right to decide what you do with the money you earn as long as it’s reason (e.g alcohol limits, age ratings and restrictions) and complies with the law.

Complicated situation..

It's not for nothing that Libertarians dislike the state. It literally prevents people from living in peace and doing business.

Too bad a lot of libertarians just want to be post-apocalyptic warlords and dictators (and get rid of age of consent).

Said a man who supports a government in which the last two presidents from both parties are ****philes. Maybe you just like the fact that a person can be imprisoned for developing loli games while they themselves travel to an island with real lolis. Slavish thinking.
