What is your faith and in what way did it influence your kinks/fetishes?


I´m a wiccan myself and after I finally found the faith, that worked for me, after years, I quickly realized, that it influenced my whole life, including kinks.

As some might know: Wicca is an extremely open minded faith (wrong topic here, but if someone wants to know more, PM me)
and I soon realized, that it made me more open minded in other aspects too. Since I started to officially call myself wicca, I gained many kinks, that I previously thought taboo due to society and faith and such.

Atheist, but was raised catholic. I'm not so sure either really influenced my kinks though. My family wasn't hardcore about it either, more like catholic lite. Go to mass, read the bible occasionally, pray before dinner/eating. That was about the extent of it, and it was very early childhood. By the time I was a teen, we'd stopped doing all of that but still carried a belief in god. I couldn't tell you why I have the kinks I have, but I don't believe they were influenced by my faith, or lack thereof.

I'm agnostic and don't believe in kinks. Human beings are creatures driven by patterns, but those patterns can be diligently upset and new patterns will take precedent. Disguising the desire to belittle and abuse others as a sexual trait is a manipulative act in my opinion. The willingness to victimize others for personal gain is a direct sign of immaturity and a lack of foresight. Grow the fuck up and take responsibility for your actions.

I'm technically atheist but i have some sympathy for the Unitarian Universalists, they are generally really open on gender and sexuality stuff, but i think it's the other way around it's because i was into such stuff that i get an interest in such a faith.

Raised secular, but had to part take in some bible study in my teens to 'make sure I know what I'm saying no to'.

As for my kinks? I think they are more of a product of the porn i was exposed to in my teenage years more than faith.

I actually think, that´s a pretty healthy approach, depending how it´s done.
Here in germany, religion is a compulsory subject in school and if you REALLY don´t wanna do it, some schools offer philosophy and I think that´s a good compromiss.
Even if you REALLY REALLY hate religion, you get enough information to know what you are talking about.

I´m absolutely against forced faith (like so many families do it) but I think kids and teens should have all the information from both sides.

I believe in facts and probabilities, so there is no faith (or lack thereof) that I subscribe to.
I do not know if there is an influence, except perhaps I have nothing external influencing mine? Honestly, I do not know why I like what I do
