I have actually seen this happen -- This happens when a multi-use tank car gets steam-cleaned in between loads, and the valves are closed before the temperature stabilizes. Tanker cars that carry fluids at normal temperatures and pressures are generally designed to withstand the outward pressure that the fluid exerts on the walls. They are not designed to withstand a vacuum.

What this does do not show is the idiot (not me) who did it being fired .

I was not there when it happened but I was escorting a group of investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), to the scene of the idiocy. Was very brief -- kinda a "yep he's an idiot" for not opening the safety valves finding. That is literally written in bold in the SOP

Hi im new here. Just dropping in to say hi. I gotta say I was confused when I kept getting the oops page unavailable message but... I like the idea its a new way to get people to interact and say hello it also slows and vets people coming in and keeps people looking around and checking out the site for higher traffic its a great way to get the ball rolling on this kind of stuff...
