Is that a lot? We just have half a meter of snow right now and life goes on.

Typically don't get any or very light amounts that melt quickly, but it's definitely not a significant amount as we've had much more from storms in previous years.

They just aren't used to it, and think sand is as good as salt.

Typically here you get melt during the day and freeze at night to form ice that is truly dangerous, but was too cold today for it to have the melt and refreeze cycle to create ice. Snow is easy to drive on, ice not so much. Just making fun of my neighbors

Pic below shows what usually happens and is for sure more dangerous than this current storm. (Gif from last post probably wasn't even from the south, our storms typically don't even get that bad visibility wise).
