I get some of the hate, but say a single game dev uses AI and people are angry about that is what I can't understand, sorry some people can't afford voice actors or pay an artist, sure we'd like that but can't stand the hate. AAA studios have no excuse though.

IMO games don't really need voice actors to be good games, plenty of the games I've enjoyed most haven't had voice acting and tend to just have music if anything.

When it comes to AI art in games it just doesn't feel as natural in the way that art directly created by someone does. The AI art tends to always have the "uncanny valley" feeling to it where it's almost good but just feels off. I also feel like it's just a matter of preference, I'm not a big fan of "real porn" games but there have been some that were developed well enough that I did enjoy playing through it.

If you make a good game the media platform you use to produce doesn't matter as much as long as the rest of the game isn't abhorrent. I've played some games that had amazing art but the game itself was so trash I'll never touch it again regardless of how it's updated down the road.

AI isn't good enough yet to make good convincing art. You can tell right away just by looking at the faces if it's AI or not. Eventually you might not be able to notice the difference though

I wholeheartedly recommend Eternum. I think you're talking about the end of 0.5 and it just released 0.8. I haven't grabbed it yet, but usually wait to see if there's a bugfix or not. Each release is taking about a half year or so right now, but it's at least three to four hours of play if actually read the story and aren't a "skip to the lewds" moron. You get a bit more out if you take side paths, but many of those simply eliminate LIs, though that's not true of a particular path split in 0.7, but I can let you find out about that.
