Y'all need to quit talking about sleep!

I dropped in to occupy my mind, trying to stay awake while waiting on a mouse. This one is a bit wily and tends to come out very late these days. Traps haven't worked; poison hasn't worked, so I'm counting on the pellet pistol to finally do the job. There were once three - now there is only the one. Thought I got him last night, but think the pellet skipped under him - he acted shot at first, but he had moved by the time I went on the porch for the pooper-scooper to grab the carcass. No sign of a hit left behind, but did see a new puncture in the backstop I set up to protect the baseboards behind the bait zone.

It's about a 15 foot shot in low light, through the legs of a chair... Gotta get the damn thing!

pop over to Ebay, there's titan XP's for sale for 140 dollars a pop. I bought a few, they're running fine, on spec, and are only a percent or three behind RTX4060
If it's not enough, battlemage is probably going to manage.
But just so you know, some sort of Sweet Baby inc analogue is working with CDPR to make DEI quotas on Witcher4. Meaning it'll be hot garbage most likely.

I'm a console player mainly... I still remember how Cyberpunk was supposed to play "surprisingly well" on last generation consoles... What to say... let's hope they learned from their past mistakes.

I don't know how trustworthy that rumor is (the thing people does for clicks on any media, social or not)... but, and this is just me giving a totally subjective opinion, I find Ciri a lot less attractive than her Witcher 3 counterpart... usually a big red flag.
CDProject Red has one of the best writing team ever, IMHO, so if there is company needing a writing consultant, that's not them.
Last but not least, with current state of "gaming journalism", I really don't know who to trust.

I have very little faith in game journos, god knows they're prone to lying their cheeks off, but I do trust what I see, and that's a clear narrative shift to what we see in trailer (compare "no gods here, only monsters" to Witcher 3 trailer and Geralt "Slaying monsters" scene for a good idea of how one poses morally evil people and how another poses tradition as psychological device that people hide their choice behind).
Choices to make Ciri less appealing have also clearly been made.
Thing is, the Finkbucks are able to make even great studios turn to making slop.
if studios can eat 60-120 million production costs and just flush the product down the drain because uncle Larry gave them the DEI scholarship, they probably will.

It is important to do your serious drinking within staggering distance of home

Even dead drunk, i have a good sense of orientation, i always managed to come home, even if it was on the other side of the town and i have like one hour to walk. Walking help to sober up a bit too. That being said, i wouldn't do it now, it's a lot more dangerous to single walk in the night drunk when you're a woman (cis or trans).
