Update 19 Progress Report

Hey everybody! It's been a little bit since Update 18 came out now and I wanted to let you all know how the next Update is coming along.
Update 19 is a different beast than anything that I've made so far. If you've seen the end of Update 18, you probably have some idea of where things are going in Update 19. It's very different than anything that has happened so far in the game. Most updates, I'm just adding more story and more content - dates, sex, major scenes, that's about it. This update, I'm having to write a lot more code and develop a lot of things from the ground up, because it's so different.
All that to say, this update is going to take a while. It's going to take longer than any of the previous updates have taken. But it's very big, it's very complex, and I think you're going to like it.
So what's in Update 19?
I don't want to spoil too much about Update 19. Unlike previous updates, I haven't really been releasing preview images or teasing content. Because of the nature of the update, I want to keep as much under wraps as possible. I will reveal this though:
Right now, I am about 25% of the way through completing the update. I can't give an official release date, but I think it's going to be somewhere around May 2025. This is *not* an official release date though, and it could end up taking longer than I expect.
I realize that is still a long ways away. I'm sorry I can't do it quicker. I'm working as hard as I can, it is just a very big, complicated update.
Is this the end of the game?
No, Update 19 is not the end. Update 19 is a *big* part of ending the story of the game, but there will be one more major update afterwards.
Update 20 I do not think will take me near as long as Update 19 will. It will be the conclusion of the game and wrap up all the stories for the different characters. It's going to have somewhere around 17 endings, but not much content outside of those endings.
And finally, I do plan on doing another update after Update 20. I'm not going to call it the *final* update, because who knows if I'll wake up and feel like adding more content to Come Home that day? But the intention of this update is to sort of smooth out all the unpolished areas that I can easily smooth out and to add in options that make all the characters a little more even - make sure all the characters have around the same amount of dates/sex/conversation content. A lot of this update will likely be Premium-only content.
So, right now the plan is Update 19 in May 2025, Update 20 probably Fall 2025, then polish the game out into it's final completed version towards the end of 2025/beginning of 2026.

It's going to be hard who to choose a final ending with as it isn't a harem game.

Yeah, I totally agree. It rates highly on many levels. Certainly my favourite game. I know it will come to an end soon so hope the dev can keep making awesome games like this.

I gave it a try and quickly realized it was not for me. Sometime I download first and read tags later. My mistake. Looks quality ust not for me.

When reading the game's tags, keep in mind that everything is optional. Don't want gay content? Turn off the only male LI. The game is pretty much a pick-and-choose buffet.

When I played this game for the first time, it said that it was voiced, but not all characters were voiced, so was waiting for the dev to add voices to all the characters.

I don't know if all characters will get voices in the end. At the moment (update 18 of 20) 13 of 20 are partially voiced. It was never planned to have them fully voiced.

it was announced in the game that more voices will be added in future updates, but not specified if all the characters will get voiced...I hope at least all the main characters with most screen time will get voiced...!

The last two updates should release this year. Probably late spring and somewhere around the end of 2025.
It used to update every 3-4 months, but the last two updates are considerably larger, from what RJ writes on her Discord. She has a daily dev diary for all interested.

The voices are okay but I'm not much into VN's with voiced characters, prefer to just read the diologue.
