If you're looking for series with a lot of books in them then lookup The Dresden Files and Riftwar Cycle both fantasy series.

If your interested in non fiction
Immediate Action by Andy McNab. Story of how Andy got into the S.A.S. and the trouble he got into along the way.

For fiction
Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. Urban fantasy where Harry Dresden is both a wizard and private eye in modern day Chicago is located in the local yellow pages under wizard, no he does not make love potions. Quick witted Harry is often the worlds punching bag seeming to take delight in kicking him while he is down, despite that he manages to get through. To give an idea of what kind of it can always get worse with him a made up scenario I can give is
"Harry is at home reading a book when some one breaks in trying to kill him, in the struggles a candle falls over lighting the carpet on fire and spreading through out the house, startled by this his cat who has never been out escapes through the open door, as he is being pinned down trying to avoid getting stabbed his phone rings and the answering machine picks up, it's his girlfriend calling to say she can't see this relationship going anywhere and it's best they break up and not to call her."
Now to be clear what I wrote can't fully happen in the actual story due to world building.
Butcher draws inspiration from many different mystic beliefs ranging from Catholic Religion to Norse Mythology to aspects of the Fae including things like The Billy Goats Gruff.
The early books are really good light reads where I found it had a great balance of ending fulfilled while still wanting more.

Thoughtful Sci-Fi that is easy to access: Isaac Asimov. Try a couple of his short stories as an introduction.

I suggest to start with something simple. Read a book that has a movie or a book that is going to be a movie soon. That is how I got into reading when I started again after years of not reading any books. Some suggestions I could give you are The hunger games series, Ready Player One, Enders Game, City of Bones Series, and the Maze Runner series. They are all easy reads and have movies linked to at least one of the books.

I always prefer the Young Adult books too, I find the flow easier to read. I like Fantasy and ScFi stuff the most. Other book series I recommend with no movies tied to them are Throne of Glass series, Armada, and The Eye of Minds.

If you want to get into something more complex check out the Game of Thrones books or The Witcher books.

Artemis Fowl was a great series, shame that the adaptation completely messed with the story.

Does anyone here enjoy reading?

Maybe light novels in genres like Isekai, or progression fantasy or litrpg? If so, has any of you found somewhere smoll and teen girls receive some love? Or maybe one of you has a passion for writing but not the energy or desire to put it in game format and has written a few chapters.

I would love to read a good story (that actually has plot) where the mc might go around and corrupt or enslave some underaged girls on his way to defeat or maybe become the demon lord.

Robert Harris - Archangel, Fatherland and Enigma
Martin Cruz Smith - Gorky Park, Polar Star (after the latter, the Renko series declines somewhat)
Isaac Asimov - Foundation (the whole series is great)
Robert Heinlein - Stranger in a Strange Land
Terry Pratchett - Mort, Guards! Guards! (most of the the Discworld series is recommended)

The angelmaker by Nick Harkaway great book a mix of old world spy, gangster noire

Any Alternative History books by Harry Turtledove - note some of the better are series, and the best are 5-10 novels long. Not short novels, either.

Kings of the wyld is another great fantasy , the classic band of heros

Since Harry Turtledove has been mentioned, I recommend starting with "The Misplaced Legion", where a late republican legion is magically transported in a fantasy version of the Eastern Roman Empire.

If you like Fantasy, the Powder Mage Trilogy and its sequel, Sins of the Empire, by Brian McClellan are something you might want to check out. Fantasy in a Napoleonic setting.

Not into fantasy, but like his pure AH. The older ones were the series like Timeline 191, The War That Came Early and the Tosev series (which is regular SF along with AH.)

The Tosev series, especially the WWII part is absolutely captivating. That might be another good start to get to know Turtledove for people who like both SF and AH.

I'm not familiar with Timeline 191. Probably goes by another name in my country. I'm going to google it.

Mistery solved, I know Timeline 191 as Southern Victory. It was never translated into my idiom. I keep on procrastinating reading it.

That's the official name but most fans go by timeline-191 in the English speaking world. It's like 14 books though from How Few Remain (set in 1881 or about) to In At The Death (set in 1944.) There are some online places that people wrote the history of it up close to present day.

A big reason I like AVNs is that they have time to develop the relationships between characters.
For the same reason I really like harem fantasy novels. Anyone else reading/listening to those?
Sadly Amazon is pretty strict with their censorship, so anything taboo gets nuked.

Here's a few I liked:

Lost Reavers by Mike Truk
Domestic Decay by Anya Merchant
Celestine Chronicles by Cebelius

If you're into monster girls, perhaps you would like ?

The main character travels through a post-apocalyptic landscape that is a mixture of science fiction and fantasy, where he meets and marries an impossibly large number of women from various fantasy races and breeds them.

For me written text was how I got introduced to porn/adult content. It wasn't until much later that games started being more common. To this day I still like stories even though there is no visual component. Does anyone else read and what are your favorite genres/stories?

I used to frequently read stories on ASSTR.org and Sexstories.com. I read stories on those sites for years. The Kirsten Files in particular were where the best stories could be found on ASSTR. Much of ASSTR has since been lost, but some of the missing stories are still visible through the Way Back Machine.

I later found chyoa.org and editthis.info and liked the more interactive nature of the stories there. Unfortunately, both sites eventually had problems with censorship and the last time I looked the story I had mostly been contributing to on chyoa was deleted, even though it fit the site's rules. I've occasionally checked back, but it's really hard to find anything relevant on chyoa now and isn't very useful. Stories on editthis are now full of holes and the site lags really badly. Censorship effectively killed those sites.

Thespankinglibrary.org has a great variety of stories specifically about spanking, if you're into that sort of thing. The search engine is hard to use though and an annual fee is now required to access features that used to be free.

AI story generators are the best available erotic stories right now, in my opinion, since they're interactive and allow different outcomes and story direction based on the reader's input.

Newest entry into the Stormlight archives series by Brandon Sanderson releases this week for anyone interested. That will bring it upto 5 books and supposedly ends the first arc.
