Not really very similar for me. I prefer different things in real life. Big reason behind the fact that real life has real people with feelings and consequences. While vn and other adult games can make you feel things sometimes (other than lust ), nothing in them is real, and no actual people are involved.

Yes and no. My tastes are what they are and they don't really change when I sit behind the keyboard. The difference is that I can pick up a game that scratches an itch that would be illegal, or at the very least - exceedingly unethical, to scratch IRL. Now, I don't consider myself a particularly moral or ethical person, but when you live in a society, you follow certain rules whether you like it or not. Those restrictions don't apply in games and I think that's half the appeal.

Many... most... of the stuff I like in games I DO NOT like in real life:

2. they are not presented realistically in games, so option 1 can be applied
