Good, got my first hot shower in weeks. Insurance is finally stopping by this week to access the hurricane damages. Got the tree removed drom the roof

Now all I need is stable internet.

Oh boy I'm not sure if you're ready for this but since you asked...

We start with the iconic lyrics:

"Apple Bottom jeans, boots with the fur

So here we’re told this "shawty" is wearing Apple Bottom jeans and boots with fur. Seems simple enough, right? But hold up, because there’s a twist.

In the second verse, it goes on to describe the same woman, but this time, she’s sporting:

"Baggy sweatpants and Reebok with the straps."

This sudden change in wardrobe makes no sense, unless you’re prepared to entertain the notion that it isn’t actually talking about a human woman at all. Oh no. They're talking about a centaur.

Now this is the only thing that makes sense for a few reasons as I will lay out now:

• Two-Legged vs. Four-Legged Fashion:
  Now, if we think about a centaur, the upper half is human, and the lower half is a horse. As such a centaur would require two pairs of shoes and pants. And therefore the centaur ends up with a very weird combination of clothing on as described in the song.​

• "Reeboks with the straps":
  Footwear becomes even more perplexing. How do the Reeboks fit on the centaur’s hooves? Is this a clever metaphor for the centaur's "fashion-forward" hooves? Is this part of a symbolic commentary on human-animal hybrids and the ways they might try to blend into human society? Is it possibly hinting at the untold struggles of centaur fashion, or maybe the centaur has access to exclusive streetwear that’s a mix of human and mythical creature apparel.​

• "The whole club was looking at her":
  Imagine this centaur walking into the club. If you're a partygoer in this world, would you even be able to comprehend what you're seeing? The sheer spectacle of a half-human, half-horse creature strutting with such confidence would definitely draw all eyes, but what’s more mysterious is why no one seems too concerned about the centaur's presence. Could it be that T-Pain's verse is a social commentary on how people might be so entranced by beauty or trends that they don’t question the more “mythical” elements around them?​

I think the whole thing is A Hidden Allegory for Diversity: I see it as a metaphor for outsiders and diversity. The centaur, caught between worlds, is a symbol for anyone who feels like they don’t fully belong to one group or the other. The clothing mix-up (jeans and sweatpants, Reeboks and fur boots) could be an attempt to dress like the world around them, but they’re still different underneath. The song could be viewed as a playful nod to the weirdness of fitting in—or not fitting in.​

No, just thinking. I have an aunt and her two daughters who claims her house is
poltergeist central. Now I cannot confirm any of this since I haven't been to her
house in many, many years. However the stories I'm told by family is quite
shocking, almost like something from an Amityville horror movie. The oven
opening on it's on and flames shooting out, a cat constantly delivering dead
birds it kills and laying them on their doorstep. Aunt claimed she went to
go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and a floating black blob chased
her, her youngest daughter who is in her 20s claims that while taking a
bath something invisible bit her and then tried to push her head underwater in
the bathtub. Aunt claims whatever lives in the house will sometimes pat
her on the head, and the two girls said they can see their mothers hair
being squished down like something is patting her but there is nothing
there. Reminds of those scary Conjuring movies.

Their stories give me the Heebie Jeebies

Off of them, but when I was a little girl, I was probably 5 years old at the time,
and I remember I had this green sheet, I don't know where it came from, but I
remember I loved that thing and always carried it around. Well one night
when I was probably 5 years old and I slept between my parents I looked
up in the middle of the night and there was my sheet standing up about 6
foot tall and moving and glowing and walking around and it stopped and
looked at me, then I threw the covers over my head scared. That's all
I remember. The thing is did this really happen to me when I was 5 years old?
Did a ghost or some Phantom really grab my sheet and take a stroll with it to
scare me? Or was this just a really scary dream I had as a kid? I have no idea
which, but I still have that memory of that green sheet moving, glowing,
and looking down at me.

Bringing this story up front since it's spooky season and a good read. I've never had anything like this happen to me (thankfully) but I've had close friends who aren't the kind to tell tall tales say they have so I keep an open mind. I definitely believe that there is a lot of things that we might not have a understanding on

It was. Saw some 80s bands on Friday, met up with a buddy and watched movies on Saturday, and then yesterday I went book shopping followed by a short visit from an out of town casual partner who just happened to be passing through my area. All told, a very rewarding weekend.

not a locksmith, but the caretaker company since the owner is some company in swedens capitol. and it isnt cheap. 500 SEK for them to show up with a key that unlocks and unlock it for me. will probably start leaving the door unlocked when i leave and undo the latch which keeps door from locking itself once i know for sure i am done for the day. it is far easier and cheaper to get through the gate into stairway. i live in apartment. and generally i am not alone but this month i am.

That really sucks man. Crazy that they charge a fee to unlock it for you. Have you ever considered one of these instead?

Although for real I would rather stash a key somewhere than keep my door unlocked the whole time​
