P1 lets you participate in some of the forums I think, but more importantly it lets you give likes to folks without having to wait a while between. That's pretty important if you plan to give as much as you get by participating in this forum.

That makes sense. Just hard to justify the cost when the goal is so much farther away then p1.

No need to buy in order. I would recommend getting P1 during a sale to get rid of cooldown for likes and be able to maximize participation in the forums. Then saving up for P4
