Really believable corruption games. If well written the slow struggle with her urges and the feeling af guilt is way hotter than her finally doing a gangbang with seven dudes and a dog.
Totally agree!

Or on the flip side, having a partner that's genuinely not okay with you getting involved with other girls, and having to actually work to keep your illicit activities secret from her.
oh yeah, for sure. that particular thing isn't for me but i honestly can't say if i've seen that done well or even at all lol

I want more GILFs. Also if anyone has any to recommend :) Here are 3 for the non-initiated. Grandma's House, Shag the Hag, and Between Salvation and Abyss.
TImestamps: unconditonal love had one with some scenes. Not particularly my thing though so i can't say how much content it had with the GILF

A suspense thriller story which dev is not afraid to kill characters. Acting Lessons is one example but much more death and unexpected characters.

The amount of harem type games is pretty crazy. It's such an overdone thing at this point. I like having to replay things to get a different outcome

Can't think of many myself. There's one I know of, an old Russian game (Twists of my Life or something, I think), where you have a live-in girlfriend and at one point can invite another girl over while she's out at work, have a really hot scene with her... and then catch a bad end when your girlfriend comes home and catches you because she figured out what was up as soon as you texted her "when are you coming home".

Jealous after cheating, break up, possible get back together.

Focusing on the female pleasure. So many games just seem like jerkoffs for the guy, just seeing the sex, I find it way more pleasurable to watch the girls getting pleasured so much they faint in pleasure. Orc Massage had a good idea on this part, but the sex scenes don't really look that pleasurable for the girls, I'd love to see them squirm way more due to the pleasure. Ending a sex scene with just a 'tired' face instead of a 'blissed out' face is a big disappointment for me.

So, to put it short, pleasure so intense and that it shows on the female or bottom partner. Not enough of that.

Story-driven sandbox simulation games. If they had 3D images people on this site wouldn't be talking about boring AVNs so much I think but maybe that's just my preference for having control and doing interesting things.

For me, mixing sandbox and sex doesn't work as simple as that...

One underrated theme is exploring personal growth and emotional healing in games. While many games focus on action or external conflict, stories centered around self-discovery, overcoming personal trauma, or improving mental health can be deeply impactful. Games like Celeste and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice touch on these themes, but they could be explored even more in the gaming industry.

Adaptations of classical literature.

Both classical love stories and classical porn literature would be ideal for that. For decades they served as a basis for many mass-produced erotic and pornographic movies. I don't understand why that's not also the case for AVNs.

The only thing that I have seen in this direction is a few images in Sisterly Lust. In this VN, the mother-cum-prostitute is a woman of culture and reads de Sade. The MC finds the book, and the scenes he reads are illustrated in the VN.

Some examples of what could be adapted as AVNs:
  • The (real) diaries of Samuel Pepys (who lived in London during the Great Fire of 1666) contain every detail of his life over many years, including bowel movements and all his extramarital affairs and attempts at such. This has a lot of potential, both comical and erotic.
  • A Sentimental Journey through France and Italy by Lawrence Sterne. He actually never reaches Italy. Again a lot of comical and erotic potential. If I were to use this, I would probably make the text true to the original work while illustrating it as if the text was euphemistic and what really happened was much more drastic.
  • The Kama Sutra might be best treated as a comical AVN in which the MC has decided to only marry a woman with whom he can put the entire Kama Sutra into practice.
  • In the case of the Marquis de Sade, there is not only a number of pornographic novels that one could use, ranging from relatively tame to 120 Days of Sodom with basically all kinks imaginable, culminating in gore. What is known about his life is also a good basis for a pornographic fictional biography.
  • The epic autobiography of Giacomo de Casanova could supply an AVN developer with enough stories for a lifetime. If you have no idea what to expect here, imagine The Three Musqueteers, only a lot more text and much of it (not all, perhaps not even most) erotic. Casanova breaking out of prison in Venice. Casanova brags about having invented and then run the first lottery in history. Erotic adventures with nuns. Arranging with a woman to fuck her in public during Carnival; she later complains that he used the wrong hole, and he pretends it was an innocent mistake. Discovering (through inspection) that a young castrate with a wonderful soprano voice is actually a girl. And so it goes on and on.
  • Going beyond the public domain books, if dozens of AVNs are obviously based on Hogwarts, why haven't I seen a single one with a plot blatantly inspired by Fifty Shades of Grey?

Because there are sandboxes that are difficult and that gets boring.
Well, there aren't many games with pregnancy and I'd prefer most games to have an alternative harem route.

I may not be looking hard enough for this type of game but Dungeon and Management games. More specifically, the two combined. Then again, I'm not the biggest fan of things like non-con but I try them out on occasion.

the going to college or returning home cause dad died tropes are overdone. i think that games that have some sort of mystery/who done it are underrated.

the two concept that come to mind at the moment are good Netori (stealing love interest) stories and slow burn corruption games

I guess there is also game with Futanari that don't have dick the size of an arm

netori is definately one of them, not enough monster breeder games as well and games where you play as the Villain are rare as well
