My grumpy old man is 15 years too... I'll admit, my heart skips a beat whenever he sleeps in, because I fear the worst.... Normally he's bothering me for food each morning.
It's always hard to lose such a staple of your life. Especially to see them decline so suddenly. There is no easy way to lose a loved one - watching a deline, sudden lose, planned lose - it's all grief and it's always hard. Take care of yourselves. Reach out if you ever need a chat.

Honestly, you should watch the Japanese Anime. I am sure you can add subtitles to them. Its still not as good, but better than the dubs, which I agree, terrible often.

I haven't really had any issue with the dubs for the anime I watch but I agree with you that sometimes the ones for movies can be really terrible

Yeah, I heard a similar thing, that they are still good for those who are fans but maybe the script writers change over time. I think South Park been going on since maybe 1990's? and i know Simpsons was around in 1993, before I was reborn into this current vampire life (haha). It won't surprise me to learn these older ones change. I just don't know why they are not as good as originals. Same think in most movies. 1st one or two are great, then rest seem to get less quality.

Yeah south park was late 90's like 98/99 and Simpson's was almost a decade earlier I think right at the end of 89 so yeah they've been around for almost 30/40 years now jeez I feel old now. Yeah writers change when things go on that long it has to be hard to come up with fresh stories for the characters. You're right the same thing does happen with movie sequels sadly.

Hey guys, I've been back to lurking these last days, and I've been seeing a lot of threads talking about the scarcity of new games, and/or people complaining about the content of such games.
It got me thinking... What if we made an LC community game? A game where everyone gets to vote on the different aspects such as story, characters, content, themes, etc..
Of course a smaller team of people (volunteers) would be actually developing the game, but sticking to whatever the community decides.

My hypothesis is that we would get a game that resembles exactly what the community is complaining about lol, with all the overused tropes and clichés. Still, I think it would be fun to do, maybe a short story (1 version release and that's it).

What do you guys think?

I love this idea it sounds really fun! I agree with your hypothesis that the game would end up with a lot of the cliches, my thought for this is because you always hear from the people who don't like something, but not always the people who do enjoy it, so the people we see complaining might just be the vocal minority, but I could be wrong. Not sure how feasible this is but I love the idea!

The company I work for keeps implementing new procedures or at least trying to. Don't get me wrong some are great ideas. Problem is these are things people have been pointing out that needs to happen for years now. But it wasn't convenient at the time or they don't want to spend the money to make the improvements. But now there is 1 customer making complaints about some of the most tiniest things. Everyone ( office people ) are in an uproar. But it's going to end up back to the convenient and money response again. But until then we have to deal with bosses freaking out.

I feel ya, only good thing about this week for me is a small break in the weather

I wish I could say that for the weather. Been in the mid to upper 60s lately. Yesterday it was raining then got up to upper 70's. So it got muggy. Today is going to be low 80's then rain. then tomorrow back down to upper 60's. Weather around here is so bipolar
