I'll just quote what a wise man once said to me in that thread:

I wouldn't call myself a very established person here yet and yesterday alone I got ~200 LC with like 3 clever posts. My best work yet, but still...

It isn't hard to participate here and you don't need to look more than a page back to find something to comment on usually.

Suggestions:
1) Find games you like, enjoy your time here, and post when you want. Do NOT drive yourself crazy posting for coins. Take your time and you will get the coins.
2) You don't need to post a lot to get LC coins but do post a bit.
3) Put your coins in the bank. Every day you will get 2% interest. Collect it and keep putting money in the bank. It isn't much at the start, but it adds up.
4) When you get enough coins for member+ WAIT a couple days to benefit from the interest before you buy it. This will give you a small boost for working toward the higher 'Prestige' levels.

I'm not much of an optimistic person anymore, and I get disappointed less now, Lower goals better chance to achieve.
