I always wondered why I didn't like 50% of the games, because of their japanese anime style. Until I found discussion on the internet about missing facial expressions. In my eyes they all look alike, same look, different hair. But I found it strange in real life I'm more attracted to asian woman than to western woman. But in AVN's, the best girls are all western rendered type of girls.

Yeh point 2 and 3.... Totally forgot about that. But I mostly don't come that far, because the first picture already appals to me.

While we all have our different tastes, some of what we like derives from our upbringing and what we are exposed to while our brains develop. Add in the quirkiness that is the human mind, and the result is a conglomeration sometimes difficult for us to understand in our own minds.

Most people are content enough with deciding, "I don't like that," rather than delve into the why. It took me a while to figure out why I dislike 90% of DAZ-based AVNs, but once I did, it was easier for me to find that other 10%.

I've said elsewhere, cartoons do nothing for me. For me the more realistic looking the better - though real porn games suck. Now if there was a game that had real porn specifically made for the game, that would be different. And censored is 100% unacceptable.

I just can't relate to the characters. Emotions and sexuality are either repressed or hyper-exaggerated. Alien cultural norms about deference and taboo in conversation strongly color all the conversations.

It's like watching porn made by and for extraterrestrials. I might as well be watching fish mate. I get that it's technically sex... But it doesn't do anything for me.

(And now I hope this thread turns into a recommendation thread for the best fish-sex games.)

I consider the censorship of drawings/renders absolutely ridiculous + their common pick one or die dry games are rarely worth replaying and without seeing the plots aside from my main interest its a 30-90% waste of content.

Cartoon graphics? No, that has nothing to do with it. Games with European-type cartoon graphics are perfectly acceptable. Censorship? Maybe, but only partially.
In my opinion, it's a civilization barrier. As an example - Hokusai is not an artist for me personally, with his “36 Views of Fuji”. An illustrator, perhaps. Goya is much closer to me.
As for games - traditional oriental graphics in them have mutated to an extreme degree of absurdity, it is impossible to perceive it calmly, without vomiting.
If the Japanese accept Western graphics in the same way - god be with them, I don't care. Although the Chinese, with their approximately 2,000 years older culture than Japan, are quite accepting of Western traditions in painting. Yes, it is “socialist realism”, adopted from the Soviet Union, but it is now its own fully formed original school, drawing inspiration from its national roots.
In general,

I don't share your preference with with the style, but I can definitely agree with the censorship, it just doesn't make any sense, but ok, you do you Japan. But more than that I'm discouraged from playing simply because most of the stories are pretty much the same, unless I play some rather extreme one. Other than that, the sex scenes are extremely boring, again, unless it's something extreme it's always a still, 2 minutes of loop moaning and some text. Occasionally some decal is added to the scene and rinse and repeat until they cum. Very lazy and like I sad imo very boring.

The first big reason is censorship, I do understand the "why" they are censored -- what I don't understand is "why" anyone would like then regardless. The other reason is all the screen clutter
