Fellow deviants (and non-deviants who wandered in by chance....):
Why do we like what we like? What motivates our sexual preferences? Is it childhood experiences? Is it random?
Or is there an evolutionary basis for our kinks? How does homosexuality persist over evolutionary time? It's present in most of our great ape relatives and it's being discovered in more and more mammalian species. What selection pressures lead to it being preserved? And what about NTR? Why do so many of us hate it? Loli? or MILF? More evolutionary selection pressures at play?
I am trying to test my theory about what evolutionary selection pressures lead to various kinks. My hypothesis suggests that some kinks are going to be positively correlated with some others and negatively correlated with different kinks. And another group of kinks will similarly be positively and negatively correlated with other kinks and factors.
Help out a fellow pervert (that's perVECT!) and fill out the linked anonymous survey. The survey should take 10 to 15 minutes and I will be posting more of my theory for criticism and debate once I get enough survey responses.
This thread and survey has been approved and checked out by the moderators.
Hope to see the number of responses climb quickly (though please only take the survey one time. Multiple entries will (obviously) skew the results).
Please post here with any questions or comments. I think this is a topic that has the potential to generate a lot of discussion and debate, all of it friendly and collaborative, I'm sure.

Thanks! And I'm sure that most of our kinks are somehow related to environmental effects, but I'm interested in exploring whether they might also have some heritable component. It's clearer and clearer that 99% of heritable behavior is triggered to a greater or lesser extent by environmental triggers.took the survey, but I'm pretty certain most of my kinks are trauma related.
See below and above. (Full survey results are attached above with 100 survey responses.Done. This stuff interests me, I'd love to see the results
It's an interesting idea, and I'm sure that asking about gender would reveal some interesting connections with various kinks. However, the reason I didn't ask is because it would be very difficult (if not impossible) to disentangle cause and effect in those cases. For example, let's say someone who is born male but identifies as female is very turned on by the trans kink (not surprisingly). But is the appreciation for the trans kink caused by being trans? Or (much more likely) are they both a function of some other event/issue (environmental or heritable). So that's why I was staying away from that particular area.Your survey is interesting, but i think it should ask both sex and gender. In sites like here, i see lot of people who are gender deviant. Kinks can't be explain just by biology. Sure, natural hormones linked to biological sex play a role, but gender play one too. In my opinion, there is lot of things linked to psychology and sociology at work here and those factors may be even more important on why we have such kinks (plenty of fetish are trauma relative for example).

I hope the bunker is foil lined. Otherwise, you're just fooling yourself....I will wait until nightfall, I will go into my private bunker, isolated from all interference from the outside and proof of electromagnetic waves, microscopic drones and telepaths. So, I'll take the test.
Thank you to everyone for doing the survey. The more responses we get, the better.Aaand done.
Do you mean that you're not sure what use the information is going to be to me? I plan to start a blog talking about what the results might show in the context of what I understand about evolutionary biology. I'm hoping that the results will be consistent with my theories about legacy effects of female transfer/male philopatry (women move out of the natal group while men remain) and male tournament behavior ((some) men compete for alpha status and control over access to breeding females) in evolutionary history. I think the legacy of those ancestral circumstances might still have significant effect on human behavior. My first blog post is almost written, though it still needs heavy editing and cite checking. It's on how these circumstances might effect the FBOE (fraternal birth order effect) relative to being (male) gay.done the survey not really sure what to do with the information though
Yes. I think this is true of most of our fantasies....for some I think its about look a way that you could never do irl..
This is interesting. Until I looked it up, I had no idea there could be purely lesbian bukkake. I honestly didn't think about this problem, though it's not just a problem in this context. There are several questions that are indeterminate this way. (For example, both humiliation and domination don't specify who's the dom and who's the sub. Some people might be rating the humiliation kink highly because they like imagining themselves as the sub rather than the dom.) I'm not sure how I'm going to untangle that, but it may just be that that particular kink can't be used for my purposes. The results are still interesting, but hard to interpret. I think the same problem is present generally for its use as a tag. If you filter for the humiliation tag, you're not really sure whether you're going to get it as the MC being humiliated or the MC humiliating others.Since polls are all about numbers i need to state my choices belong to a lesbian context. Especially my answers for oral, bukkake, groupsex, etc. were meant to be dickfree, with dicks they are ultimate turnoffs.

So I think that (mostly) works for filtering by sexual preference. But I actually think there's a good chunk of alphas that actively seek the sub role and omegas the dom role. It's the forbidden fruit effect.....You may need to sort the results by core aspects.
Sexuality defines the basic angle, no lesbian would think about dicks in her answers, no gay about pussys, and heteros not about the same gender...the bisexuals are the only trap here, they might prefer eating pussys and getting a cum bukkake in a mixed gender orgy.
To untangle the humilation you just need to check the alpha/omega choice, alphas will not enjoy the sub role and omegas are less keen to humilate others.
Strange, i dont know any alpha including myself who would ever submit or allow any form of humilation. And no meek girl ever tried to order me around, except for some officials but thats beside the context ^^So I think that (mostly) works for filtering by sexual preference.
